My navigator, Mikey and I were in the town of Globe, Arizona and at the very top of the town is the ancient Besh Begowah Ruins, made by the ancient Salado tribe. They traded with the Anasazi Pueblo people to the north, the Hohokam tribe in the desert south and even with the Chumash tribe near present San Diego! Changing weather and water conditions forced them to leave around 1250 ad.

My handsome grandnephew, Ben Van Houten turned 9 on Monday and there was a wonderful party brought off to perfection by my niece Nicky and her husband at The Home Plate on 22nd Street in Tucson! Great place for parties!

I took Vanessa Ruddy and her friend Ira down to the historic Gadsden Hotel to check out lunch and the ambience of a 100 year old landmark! On the way, we stopped at The Amerind Museum in Dragoon! I took Kay and Vanessa, my two favorite Adventure Tour passengers to the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix yesterday! We had a GREAT TIME having tea and scones in Geordie's the restaurant named after the jazz pianist and P. K. Hormel's (of Spam fame) grandson who was second owner of the famed estate!

I went with a lady so she could by a car in Sahuarita! Little did I know this place was HIGH ABOVE Sahuarita in the Sierrita Mountains! 5,500 in elevation! I want to live here!!

I took three good friends and adventure mates with me to The International Wildlife Museum just below Gates Pass on Gates Pass Road! In 1988 when it was built, people came unglued saying that they were glorifying "Dead Safari Animals". It is now touted as the premier wildlife museum, and one of the best in the world! While taking my favorite family to Roadforks New Mexico to get fireworks, we came across the amazing and haunting ghost town of Stein's! It was a mining community that sprang up in the early 1880's and existed until tragically Southern Pacific Railroad told the inhabitants they would no longer stop and deliver them water anymore!

While running my favorite family two days in a row to get fireworks in Roadforks New Mexico, we came across the unique and haunting little ghost town of Stein's! It was a small mining community that existed in the middle in the Chihuahuan Desert from the early 1880's until 1945 when The Southern Pacific Railroad told them they would never bring them water again! A tragic tale I told on the Remembering Tucson group page!

Armed with two months worth of chicharrones from El Herraderro is my World War Two U.S. Navy veteran and my most adventurous passenger, 95 year old "Uncle" Larry Guevara! He runs circles around 65 year punks like myself! Today he also bought a stationary exercise bike from Play It Again Sports! LIFE IS GOOD!!!

I took my passenger, Justin "Indio" Antone to the Coyote Gift Shop at San Xavier so he could get the newspaper publication "The Runner" and to buy a few curios! If you walk your dog there, make you don't pick up any other reservation dogs that want to tag along! 😂
