Where do we even begin. Three years have culminated in this wonderful moment that flew by much too fast. For years my life had plateaued in perpetual arrested development, but the moment entered my life everything changed. Together, we've dreamed and set goals for family as we support each other. Nothing has come easy but for the first time in three years, we got to take a day to celebrate everything we've worked for. I didn't know I could love someone even more, but being married to you has been the best decision I've ever made 🥰

What a whirlwind the past year has been! It feels like we've been in survival mode for so long since before our daughter arrived. Lately we've had the time to slow down a bit and reflect on everything we've experienced as a family as well as the unbelievable growth and development of our tiny human. Everyday she challenges, excites, and amazes us with her curiosity and playfulness as she interacts with the world around her. In such a short time, she's already captured the hearts of everyone she's graced with her wonder.

So here's some photos of our little family. We're so happy to be here ♥️

The JTED Photo Master Class event for the local area high school photography students was last Friday after a few year hiatus from the pandemic. I always enjoy participating in this event and teaching the students some pointers on what informs how I use light in my photography. I think this is my 5th or 6th year teaching at this event and it's always fun to see the teaching points resonate with the students.

7 long months of watching my partner go through the biggest change of her life. In a little less than two years, we've both gone through a lot of changes. I've rooted for her as she finished her masters degree, successfully pushed through a grueling job search, and now I'm rooting for her as she is about the bring our daughter into this world as we start our little family.

Taking these photos is deeply personal to me because embarking on motherhood is hard work and every day is a struggle. Through these photos, I want to see herself the way I see her. Strong, determined, intelligent, fierce, and beautiful!

I can't wait to meet our baby girl and for her to see these photos someday and be proud of her mama too ♥️
