Another way to use Shrinkets is in handmade greeting cards . These make a perfect gift for those who have EVERYTHING. I would recomend heavy bubble wrap over them when mailing .

I just finished a new piece. It was a project creating unique bails with peek holes. I was able to add beads in the top center of the bails when I strung the necklace. Each bail has a different edge shape and so I did a different row of decorative beading on each bail edge. I also added a rolled bead with drilled holes that allowed me to add strung sequin and bead details around the roll creating interesting detail. This bead is capped on each side with half-domed beads and fluted spacer beads creating a uniform balanced look.

I am still exploring Shrinkets and felt appliqué embroidery. I hand-dyed the felt pieces with alcohol inks to get bright colors.

5 years ago I officially launched Shrinkets at the Craft and Hobby Association wholesale show. I was in the competition for best new craft invention of the year and placed in the top 5. It was the most rewarding risk I have ever taken. Never be afraid to open a door of opportunity. This has led me down one of the most wonderful career choices of my life. But it also would not have happened without every one of you supporting me;.I have a big thank you and such gratitude to all of you who create. Thanks to every one of you. Julie

I used the large domed mold to create the 2 larger beads and a little bit of hand forming to drape the warm beads petals around the dome pin, ( the top part of the mold). I used a lace craft ball that was very large and cut it down to about 30 mm . When I strung these together, I pulled the line tight so the lace ball was scrunched to ruffle in the curves of the 2 Shrinkets beads.

Another of my hanging pieces , combing hand dyed felt, Shrinkets and embroidery in a folk art style. I having a lot of fun with these as I can create work at stitching them together in a comfy chair while watching true crime.
