Here is a fun fact... the price for a travel agent is built into the cost of Walt Disney World, Disney Cruises, Adventures by Disney, Disneyland, Universal Studios, & all other travel destinations.
It's actually the same price whether you use an agent or not.

Spring Break & Summer Vacations will be here before we know it!
We are already 19 days into the new year, and Iâm almost the mom to TWO pr***en girls!
One thing I hope they take away from all my preaching is that skincare is so so important!
Especially when youâre living your best life. On a boat, in a theme park, on a beach - when youâre out and about itâs so convenient to spray a sunscreen and move on to the good part- but many times we forget to reapply when we should.

For the remainder of our trip we skipped the BB Spray and strictly used Climate Control. I will never vacation again without it!

We had a rain burst in Tulsa today and the way I see things - there no better time to explain why I stand with my statement in this photo!
Only once have I ever been on Walt Disney World property and experience light flooding. Iâm from South Louisiana originally â so Iâll define my idea if light flooding as water above the ankles, but easy to navigate.
We were in EPCOT, leaving a restaurant filled with princessesâ to seek shelter we hopped in a line that had no one in it! , it was my daughters favorite ride that day! The lines were so non-existent we rode it 3 times in a row without ever changing ride cars (which is typically unheard of!).
The BEST time to get in line for your favorite/most anticipated rides is always when a burst of rain hits!
Honestly, take a minute to watch the crowds. Youâll see a lot of families leaving the lines and ride queues to see shelter.
Rain Bursts in Orlando usually last between 1-15 minutes. Unless the forecast is saying differently.
This means 2 things:
1. Indoor seating and shelter is about to get *tight*. Donât forget those families gave strollers that will take up space as well!
2. Lines are going to melt as quickly as cotton candy in the rain!
As for me as my house â we arenât going to melt, we see that burst of rain as a beacon of coolness (even if just for a moment), and our clothes will surely dry!
So hop in line, if youâre brave!
Thrills continue to await, as long as thereâs no lightening in the sky!

Preparing children for what they're about to experience can go a long way. For example, tell them in advance about jet lag! If they're nervous traveling bring a special toy on the plane and donât forget the bubblegum!
Ultimately, you shouldn't be too worried! Why? Because children tend to be more adaptable than we are in new situations.
I learned all about this just a few short weeks ago when my girls flew for the first time - together (but also alone without me!).

I can still remember the days when all I wanted to do was plan vacations.

Traditions can help kids connect to a trip. For example: my sister and I collected state maps on road trips every time we crossed the state lines.
Traditions are MEANINGFUL for kids. Anything that you can relate back to the child's world is going to be a meaningful experience to them.
Sarahâs Magical Pro Tip: Build a collection they will want to look over years from now! Start as small or as big as you desire! Jars of sand, Maps, a unique stone you find on a hike! Skyâs the limit when youâre creating your own traditions and memories!

While it's great to see the major attractions in a destination, walking around a local neighborhood can be one of the most impactful moments for children. A child's brain tends to make connections based on what is familiar to them.
If you're in Venice, spend time on the Grand Canal, and if you're in Paris, spend time by the Eiffel Tower, but the pieces that really resonate with children are the experiences they can relate to. Itâs going to be meaningful for your child if you just find a quiet neighborhood and go for walkâŚInevitably, you're going to see people sweeping out their front yard and local vendors.

The most rapid brain development occurs in the first five years of a child's life, and especially in the first three. Surrounding kids from birth to about three years old with people who are different than them "normalizes" that experience.
Travel and educating children about their roles as citizens of the world when they're young ensures they will retain that message into their adult years. When somebody begins a habit or a tradition... early in life, that becomes the foundation through which they view the world for the rest of their life.

Letâs take an adventure over to Disneyâs Animal Kingdom Lodge, which on November 23 will be home to a wild display â a Life-sized Baby Gingerbread Giraffe and Baby Zebra. This year continues the new tradition begun last year with a life-sized baby giraffe, or should we say gingeraffe! In addition to this gingerbread guest, thereâs a new animal grazing into the lobby. Guests will soon be able to see an adorable life-sized baby zebra â made of gingerbread, of course. Starting December 6, you can even purchase a Gingeraffe Cookie to enjoy!

Christmas Eve 2021, we spent the day exploring some of the most incredible Christmas Displays our eyes had ever seen! We loved this giraffe so much I made the kids take a picture. At that time we didnât even realize it was made of gingerbread! I can hardly wait to see the new additionđŚđŚ!!
I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that we can now purchase a small piece of gingerbread that will bring us back to this beautiful moment! Look at how cute the take home đŚ cookie is!

Christmas trees, lights in the millions, wreaths and bows - but I think seeing Cinderella Castle in her Christmas Sweater was my favorite touch!
