We are thrilled to welcome five new Malayan tiger cubs into the Tulsa Zoo family! 🐅 The cubs, which include three males and two females, are doing well. They were born overnight on August 8 and 9, 2024, to mother, Ava, and father, Raja.

Ava has proven to be an attentive mother in the past and is already showing signs of healthy bonding and maternal instincts. Both she and the cubs will stay in an off-exhibit area until our staff is confident the cubs can navigate the exhibit safely. We will set up a live feed of the den, so the public can view the cubs when visiting the Lost Kingdom building.

The Tulsa Zoo is a long-time partner with The Association of Zoos and Aquariums Malayan Tiger SSP. This program works to ensure a sustainable population of these animals in AZA care. Malayan Tigers are native to the Malay Peninsula, and are the national animal of Malaysia, but they are critically endangered with fewer than 150 in the wild due to threats such as habitat loss and poaching.

Another Neon Sign!

Congratulations to Meadow Gold Mack on their new neon sign at 11th and Peoria! Just in time for the big guy's arrival next week. This is the 60th sign installed in Tulsa with the help of our Route 66 Neon Sign Grant!

Congrats to one of Tulsa's great chocolatiers, Cricket & Fig!

We've had this news that we've been dying to tell you about for months now, and we finally can!!! Every holiday season Dandelion Chocolate in San Francisco designs a very elaborate Advent Calendar that they sell to a very lucky clientele, and they invite 25 different chocolatiers from around the United States to make a piece for the box. Cricket and Fig has been invited to be one of those makers. We are so excited to be a part of this amazing project, and we want you to know about it!!! Great shot!

Looking at Tulsa from 6 miles away. This has to be my largest native resolution of the Tulsa skyline ever at 19000 pixels wide. The upper half however I used AI to fill it in so this just wasn't a panorama. But wow what a shot.
