Join Photographer Mark Chester for a reception Sunday, August 27, 4-6 pm, celebrating his photography and book, The Bay State: A Multicultural Landscape. “For forty years with wanderlust and curiosity I covered the continents photographing cultural landscapes. I’ve come full circle—traveling the world not leaving the state.” The Bay State: A Multicultural Landscape, supporting the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, is a collection of informal, environmental portraits of ethnic diversity in Massachusetts. The exhibit and companion book bring awareness to our cultural diversity: subjects of various stations, foreign-born, naturalized U.S. citizens residing in the Commonwealth. Co-sponsors include: Friends of the Great Falls Discovery Center. Light refreshments provided.

"MCTV Looking for New Board Members

Gearing up for big projects in 2017

Montague Community Cable, Inc. (MCCI) is looking for people who want to be part of a small, nimble board that works directly with the community to create relationships around media production and dissemination. We are completely funded by grants and payments from Comcast, and as such do not have an annual fund drive, nor are members expected to pay to be on the board. We meet ten times a year at 6:00 PM for about an hour, and we serve pizza and soft drinks.

Our primary goal for 2017 is to find a new facility for MCTV to move in to. Our secondary goal of 2017 is to expand our free services and outreach to local organizations.

If you have any of the following experience, we would love to have you on our board:

Experience assessing and purchasing commercial property
Banking experience
Accounting / Bookkeeping experience
Staffing experience
Media experience
Board experience
Community outreach experience
Video technical expertise
Other professional experience

Please come and listen to this talented group of local musicians playing a very unique, country-sounding venue. This mainly stringed group has been featured at the Bank several times in the past and is sure to once again delight both young and old alike! The Farley Five has developed a following and in partnership with them, are pleased to provide an entertaining FREE concert to our community friends. Come and have a light refreshment provided by GSB and relax for a spell on a Saturday morning! What better way to start the long Memorial Day weekend!"

the formation of the Turners Falls Cultural District
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11 at 7pm in the downstairs meeting room, Montague Town Hall, 1 Avenue A, Turners Falls

The goal of the MCC Cultural District Initiative is to establish an area of town with a concentration of cultural facilities to: foster cultural enterprises, encourage business development, promote tourism, preserve and reuse historic buildings and enhance property values.
