Our final day in Omaha was the icing on the cake. We enjoyed wonderful pastries as we learned about life in Lithuania at a traditional Lituanian Bakery, then we were off to Boys Town where we had a guided tour of the campus and learned about Fr. Flanagan's mission to help boys in need and now today includes both boys and girls. Next we enjoyed a delicious southern cooked lunch at Big Moma's kitchen. Our next stop took us to the Durham Museum, formerly the Omaha Train Depot, a true step back in time. Our evening meal and wonderful entertainment took us the German American Society. Traditional German food and drink, costume, song and dance rounded out this years mystery tour. Tomorrow we travel home with wonderful memories and great stories to share.

Unique Travel had another busy day as we had a guided tour of the beautiful city of Omaha including a stop at the impressive Pioneer Park. A visit and lunch with the Polish Heritage Society was enjoyed, then off to Scotland's Joslyn Castle. We then enjoyed sampling and learning all about tea at the Tea Smith. A quick stop back at our hotel to freshen up before our tour and yummy dinner all held at the historic General Crook House. Our final day in Omaha will require a good night's rest. Stay tuned we saved the best for last!

This years Mystery Trip takes us 423 miles from home to Omaha NE. A very long day on the bus, but lots of lush scenery to enjoy, games and a movie to pass the time. Tonight we had our first of many venues on this trip. We enjoyed a wonderful evening of information, had a home cooked Greek dinner, and even learned and participated in some traditional Greek dances at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church.
I think everyone was ready to get a good night's rest, as tomorrow promises a full day of adventure.

Today we are in Skagway. This is our 3rd port of call. Beauty is every where with the sweeping mountain views. Some of our group are on the White Pass scenic railway ride, some on a trolly ride through town, while some may have gone to the glacier and others explore on foot through town. Skagway is home to the gold-rush-era, so lots to see, and lots of memories to make.
Our weather is a little cooler today, but still a very beautiful day.

I finally have enough cell service, to share the last few days with you. After a full day at sea, we have made our first two Ports. First was Icy Straight Point, and today we are in Juno the Capital city of Alaska .
Our group has had a chance to spread their wings and explore on their own at these two ports. I hear tell we've had everything from whale watching to zip lining. Our evenings bring us back to the ship for lots of dining choices, great entertainment and of course a cocktail or two. Stay tuned there is more to come.

Good morning from our adventure in Alaska. I finally have wifi so I'm combining two days. Yesterday we enjoyed a train trip from Fairbanks to Denali. Which was so much fun, and a great way to see the beautiful scenery. We did have a few Moose sightings, which was very exciting. After arriving in Denali National Park we boarded a bus and ventured into the park. Mount Denali was a little shy yesterday as the clouds kept it's beauty concealed. But this morning not a cloud in the sky and we had full view from all directions. We are now all members of the 30% club. Only 30% of visitors ever see the mountain in all its glory.
We are headed for the cruise ship and will board layer this afternoon. Stay turned for more fun adventures with Unique Travel!

Our day took us on a sightseeing adventure thru the 2nd largest city in Alaska, Fairbanks. We had the opportunity to get an up close view of the Alaskan pipeline. Traveling around the area, our tour manager gave us the history and statistics of Fairbanks, we enjoyed time to explore the city on our own and get some lunch. Then off to Steamboat Landing for a three hour riverboat tour on the Discovery III Steamboat. The Chena River was an enjoyable journey, of beautiful scenery, where we learned of life along the Chena River.
It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny for 20+ hour. Truly an experience.
