We entered the market just shy of the 2024/25 school year and wow were we humbled to book 10 reservations between student move-in, graduation, and a completely sold out football season.

Did you know the state flower of Alabama not only blooms in the spring but also in the winter months, bringing a welcome burst of color during the colder seasons. The Camellia holds a special place in the heart of Alabamians and is a symbol of love, devotion, and longevity.

Our vision for the primary bedroom was to draw on the timeless beauty and grace of the Camellia by adding some more lady-like decor elements.

Never know what you’ll find buying a 1950’s home…in this case it was an en-suite “half bath” in the primary bedroom 🤔 so right away we got busy turning it into a full bath and we are so happy with the end result • a luxurious spa shower, crisp black floor tile, and in keeping with that vintage feel we went with a wooden pedestal vanity and marble top. It’s so pretty, the pictures don’t do it justice.

This space was so small, literally sink and toilet on top of each other. So to maximize the space, we closed in a second door that led into the kitchen and made that a closet, allowing us to use the existing closet space as well as pushing out a wall into the next room for a couple more feet of floor.

When you book The Tide House, you’ll arrive to fully stocked bathrooms with quality linens, paper products, toiletry starter kits, and what we call the “Forgot to Bring” caddy, full of you guessed it, things you might have forgotten.
