The Official Ambassadors of The University of Alabama

As the official student ambassador program, Capstone Men and Women work to always positively promote The University of Alabama. The organization works closely with the Undergraduate Admissions office by giving daily campus tours, speaking at student recruitment receptions across the nation, and daily contact with students to follow up on their campus visits. The group also assists the University P

resident's Office, the Board of Trustees, and other administration through numerous events throughout the year whenever requested. The members represent some of the most elite students at UA through outstanding academic, personal, and professional success.

CMW brought the 2024 Olympics to Tuscaloosa!🥳

The competition was fierce as teams competed for the gold!🥇 Events included face the cookie, pool relays, movin’ on up and flag creation. CMW athletic abilities were on full display. The top CMW Olympic medal winners were The Dennys, followed by The Presidents, The Tides and The Quad Squirrels.

We love fall football Saturdays and cheering on the Tide!🏈 Capstone Men and Women hold the SEC and national championship flags as the football team and cheerleaders run out of the tunnel? Only 44 days until we’re back in BDS!

DYK the group initially began as Crimson Girls in 1962, serving as official hostesses for the University? Duties involved escorting special guests on campus, attending alumni events, and displaying continuous school spirit.🅰️ Today, our duties remain much the same, helping host campus events and leading daily tours. Our goal is to provide a welcoming experience for all UA visitors!🐘

Max will be moving to Boston, Massachusetts where he will be the College Ministry Leader at Grace City Church. His favorite CMW memory is getting a fist bump from Mrs. Terry after the 2023 Iron Bowl.

B.A. in Finance and Political Science
Sims plans to attend law school in fall of 2025. His favorite CMW memory is experiencing Nick Saban’s last game with the senior members of CMW at the Rose Bowl.

B.S. in Nursing
Betsy will begin her nursing career as a hematology oncology nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. A native of Athens, Georgia, her favorite CMW memory is winning two SEC Championships against Georgia.

Sam will be attending law school at the University of Virginia this fall. His favorite CMW memory is experiencing the 2023 Iron Bowl win in Auburn.

Carmen plans to work in the nursing field for a short time before returning to school to obtain a CRNA degree. Her favorite CMW memory is a tie between the trip to Tampa for the USF game and the SEC Championship game.

B.S. in Construction Engineering
Luke will intern with Constellation Wealth Advisors in Nashville, Tennessee, and then come back to UA to participate in the STEM Path to the MBA program. His favorite CMW memory is his senior year beach retreat.

Anna Kate Cavnar
B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration
Anna Kate will begin her career as an investment banking analyst at Founders Advisors. Her favorite CMW memory is beating Auburn all four years while at Alabama, but especially experiencing the games with the group at Auburn.

Whatley will be interning at Brasfield & Gorrie, a general contractor based in the Southeast. His favorite CMW memory? Tampa.

Tori Johnston
B.A. in Public Relations
After getting married in June, Tori will be moving to Stafford, Virginia, to pursue a career in sales. Her favorite CMW memory is experiencing Tampa- walking to brunch, getting to see the beautiful homes, and racing each other in the pool—all made the weekend special.

Jeppa Kilgore
B.S. in Accounting
Jeppa will return to UA in the fall to pursue his Master’s in Tax Accounting. His favorite CMW memory is being a part of the 2023 SEC Championship in Atlanta and celebrating with the group.

Aliee Reed
B.A. in Communication and Information Sciences
Aliee will be pursuing a Master’s in Community Journalism at UA in the fall. Her favorite CMW memory is walking into Make It Night and realizing her future best friends were in the room.

Thomas Cochran
B.S. in Accounting
Thomas will pursue his Master’s of Accountancy at UA in the fall. His favorite CMW memory? 4th and 31.

Maggie Tubbs
B.A. in Communicative Disorders
Maggie will be pursuing a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at UA this fall. Her favorite CMW memory is sightseeing in Los Angeles before the Rose Bowl.

Their contributions have made a huge impact on our campus, our student body, and our group. We will miss their leadership, and most of all, their friendship. Each year, Capstone Men and Women have the honor to present the Amanda Grace Taylor Watson Distinctive Image Award to one individual who has had a great impact on the University of Alabama. It is presented to one whose presence exemplifies the very essence of the University in all that they are, and all that they do. A person of kind nature, unselfish spirit, and tender heart. Such a person was Amanda Grace Taylor Watson, a former Capstone Woman.

This year’s recipient, Mrs. Susan Bell, embodies the qualities of the award by her involvement on campus and in the Tuscaloosa community. We are so thankful for her continued efforts to make this campus home for everyone.

On Honors Day, numerous Capstone Men and Women were tapped into the campus’ most prestigious honor societies at the annual Tapping on the Mound ceremony!🏅 Students were recognized for their dedication to academics, leadership, and accomplishments while at the University. The Capstone Men and Women are always pleased to lend a hand in this UA tradition that dates back to the early 1900s🕰️.

There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes of Capstone Men & Women and it wouldn’t be possible without all of our ‘CMW Moms’. We wish them and all the mother figures out there a Happy Mother’s Day!

While we are sad to soon say goodbye, we are proud of the commitment and achievements the 2022 seniors have made over the years. To wrap up our CMW Senior Spotlights, please help us celebrate our past exec team! Karlin Klass @karlin.klass Former CMW Vice President of Administration B.S. and Masters of Marketing with double minors in Communication Studies and Spanish with a concentration in Sales Karlin will be finishing her work with the University of Alabama System and beginning her new role as the Concierge Services Coordinator for @colonnadegroup. Anna Paige Burrow @annapaigeburrow Former CMW Vice President of Operations B.S. in Chemistry Anna Paige will be moving to Birmingham to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at the McWhorter School of Pharmacy at @samfordu. Parker Grogan @parkergrogan Former CMW President B.S. in Accounting with a minor in Social Innovation and Leadership Parker plans to work toward her Master's in Accounting from @mandersonua before moving on to her new role as an audit associate at @kpmg in Houston, Texas.

Soon, our seniors will be hanging up their suits for the last time.
