Step back in time to the year 1852 and visit Columbia State Historic Park for Columbia Diggins 1852! ⛏️

Visit the historic park on May 16th through 19th to discover what life was like in a gold diggings encampment during the early Gold Rush period. Over 150 volunteers help to recreate this time in history by living the life of a miner, merchant, actor/actress, and more! Explore the tent town and discover a way of life not seen in California for over 150 years 🙌

Park visitors are welcome all four days of the event.

Mother's Day Weekend can only mean one thing in Tuolumne County - it's time for the Mother Lode Round-Up!! Presented by the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Posse, this longstanding tradition kicks off Saturday, May 11th, with the Parade in Downtown Sonora at 10 AM, then heads to the Mother Lode Fairgrounds for the 2 PM Rodeo. Celebrate Mom at the Mother's Day Breakfast at 7 AM in our Manzanita Building and stay for the second day of rodeo action at 2 PM. Contact the Sheriff's Posse for ticket information!
