A little later than we had hoped, but very excited that the ski season is officially underway. Book you dates at the The Norse Hus at Twain Harte, CA - Vacation Rental now before the last available ski weekends are gone!

Mother Nature has delivered and we are so stoked to announce opening day is Friday January 5th! We have received 15 inches at the summit and 10+ at the base with much more in the forecast for the next 10 days! Details on terrain and lift openings will be coming soon. We can’t wait to see you all up on the mountain for some skiing and riding!

Please note that we will be closed tomorrow January 4th for everything except for prescheduled private lessons as we prepare the mountain for the weekend.

Wow, I don't remember an opening this early in the season. Thanks to the new snow making machines!! Don't delay, dates are filling up already at The Norse Hus!

IT’S OFFICIAL! Opening day is this Friday November 11th!!! This is the earliest opening date we've had in 20 years! With the recent storm and accumulated snowfall we are planning a modified opening for the 22/23 season. Chairs 1,3,5 and the learning conveyor carpet will start turning at 9am.

Mountain services will include Guest Services, Creekside Cafe, Boulder Bar, Sport Shop, and Private Lessons.

We will be open Fri-Sun this weekend. Our plan is to continue to evaluate the mountain and snow conditions and make an assessment early next week. Be sure to check back for updates as they develop.

The new owners of Dodge Ridge are investing in the most important new improvement for the resort. Snow making!!! This may just save Dodge Ridge for the foreseeable future as climate change reeks its havoc over the lower elevation resorts.

Last night, October 17th, Dodge Ridge received its first 5 inches of snow at the base of the resort. Previous snow already hit the upper summit. Check out the base web cam here:

On your next visit to the Norse Hus you will enjoy a brand new gourmet kitchen! This remodel opens up the kitchen to the adjacent den and will now be the heart of the house. We still have one more cabinet to add this month, but otherwise we are finished with the project.
