On behalf of all Sandals and Beaches Resorts in the region impacted by Hurricane Beryl, we’re pleased to report that our guests and team members are safe. Our resorts in the storm’s path throughout Jamaica, Barbados, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, and Grenada remain open, where guests are already enjoying many of the resort amenities as we work to get back to normal.

As expected with a storm of this magnitude, some areas in Jamaica are without power or WiFi access today, however our resorts are equipped with backup power generators to provide guests as much comfort as possible. We are incredibly fortunate as the majority of work over the next few days involves addressing damage to trees and landscaping, returning outdoor furniture and supplies to common resort areas and bringing the full resort experience back online. Although regular commercial flights have been disrupted, airports in the region are quickly reopening and working to restore schedules today. We are encouraging guests to remain in the comfort and safety of our resorts until their return flights are confirmed.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing guests and incredible travel advisors for their many contributions during the past few days. Their understanding and collaboration has been invaluable as we implemented various changes at each resort to prepare and ensure everyone’s safety. Their kind words and compassion expressed to our team members during and after the storm’s passing meant the world to us. Our team members deserve immense praise and thanks as well for their commitment, focus, and hard work that went into ensuring everyone at our resorts remained safe, comfortable and that our properties were able to withstand this significant storm.

These efforts came at a time when their own families and communities were at risk and while we work on returning our resort to normal operations in the coming days, we are also completely committed to our local communities that greatly need our support. Through our Sandals Foundation, we have set up a ‘Disaster Relief’ initiative with one hundred percent (100%) of every dollar going directly to the organization’s Caribbean Emergency Response Efforts. Colleen and David's son and daughter-in-law had a beautiful sunset wedding at Sandals Ochi in Jamaica, surrounded by family and friends. The picturesque setting of Sandals Ochi, known for its stunning sunsets provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable and romantic wedding ceremony. The golden hues of the sunset over the Caribbean Sea likely added a magical touch to their special day.

Colleen wrote, “Love Twinsburg Travel we use them all the time just had a beautiful wedding in Jamaica with 45 guests.”

Just returned from Sandals' Dunn's River and what a great experience it was. Beautiful resort, staff and entertainment. I will tell you by the luck of the draw, we got a great room and not so much by the room itself, but by the location as far as entertainment went. Travertine 1316 was perfect for every evening show in the plaza and also for the morning serenade by various instruments (saxophone, violin, flute and steel drum). This along with the sunrise was amazing by itself. Other than the change in the in-room bar, things were great, the new smaller (200ml) bottles do not fit well for sitting on the balcony and watching the shows. Lamande and Banyu were the great stand outs for restaurants in our opinion, both Spot-On! We will be returning soon.

All the shows were in the plaza which is the blocked tile area at the bottom of the picture. Club Level room #1316 was perfect for sitting on our balcony and watching all the shows and listening to the morning serenades of Saxophone, Violin, Steel drum and Flute. Different one every morning.

5th floor open air bar and Diamond member luncheon view.

We managed to get two chairs every day even when we waited till 11:00 a.m. to go out. They seem to have a lot of chairs at this resort.

The new air flight arrangements and new Royal Dunn's River next door were all great announcements too!
