Located on 16 acres of private land, this two bedroom upper country cottage offers an abundance of opportunities for relaxation and recreation. ll private wildlife pond and a wooded sanctuary for sand hill crane, deer, wild turkey, and other natural wildlife. The cottage has a large open great room (kitchen, dining and family room) with a wall of windows and patio doors leading to an upper deck overlooking the pond and woodlands. Relax on the deck's covered porch swing and enjoy reading a book or bird-watching while you enjoy a cup of coffee. The cottage great room offers an electric fire place, 47' smart 3-D TV, leather swivel rocker/recliners and a leather euro-lounger couch that folds down into a double bed. The kitchen area includes all new modern kitchen appliances, cookware, dishes, coffee-maker, and a large kitchen island for preparing and eating your home-cooked meals. A dining table and 8 chairs is also available for more intimate and formal dining in the upper cottage. For at-home entertainment on a rainy day, read one of our in-home library books, enjoy using wireless Internet, a 47' 3-D Smart TV for Netflix or Hulu plus local antenna channels, and a 3-D Blue Ray DVD player with complimentary movies from our DVD movie library (50 DVD's from which to choose). For your additional at-home enjoyment, we also include puzzles, cards and board games. The sun room/porch includes a wall of windows with a cafe table and chairs for breakfast dining while watching the birds and other natural wildlife. The cottage has two bedrooms off of the great room, one with a Queen-size bed plus a second bedroom with a full-size bed. Both bedrooms boast of new beds, and bedding to provide you with a quiet, comfortable night of sleep. A full bathroom with a bathtub/shower unit is located across the hall from the bedrooms. A roll away bed is also available. The upper cottage will comfortably accommodate 4 guests when using the euro-lounger and/or roll away bed. For those who have a working vacation planned, enjoy our home office work area complete with wireless Internet, basic office supplies, and a comfortable chair and built-in desk with windows that look out at the flowers, birds and wildlife. Additional amenities include central air, plenty of parking for 2-4 vehicles, a swingset and tree swing under the apple trees, and an outdoor picnic area and fire pit for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. (Children ages 7 and older are welcome. Due to a small pond on near the cottage, this property is not appropriate for very young children). Enjoy our complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and popcorn. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the West Twin River boat launch and some of the best fishing at the Shoto Dam, just 2 miles west on County Vv. Bring your bicycles and jump on the bicycle lane just one half mile to the east of Blue Heron Haven Cottage. The bike lane will take you into town where you can connect with the Rawleys Point Bicycle Trail or the Mariners Trail which provide 14 miles of beautiful forest and Lake Michigan scenery. Bike rental is available at Point Beach State Forest Concession Stand or at the Lighthouse Inn in Two Rivers. The Cottage at Blue Heron Haven is located less than an hour from Lambeau Field, Door County, EAA Air Museum, Road America, Whistling Straits and Black Wolf Run golf courses. Enjoy some of the local festivals and activities including: Kites Over Lake Michigan (which brings over 30,000 people to the area), Ethnic Fest, Applefest, Carpfest, Oktoberfest, Sputnikfest, Heart-A-Rama, Cool City Classic Car Show, Fishing Derbies, Outdoor music and band concerts, winery tours, museums, and more.
