On Saturday, October 12, 2024, a man brought his small dog, “Tito”, to a local bar and asked his companion to care for it while he participated in a pool tournament.

Throughout the evening, “Tito” was apparently passed from patron to patron, and the man reported receiving at least one offer to purchase “Tito” from him. Then, at some point during the night, “Tito” went missing. The man believes that he was stolen, and/or illegally sold.

Our primary concern is the welfare of “Tito”. If you know his current whereabouts, it is important that you contact Detective Erica Coreno at (912)786-5600 or [email protected]

One of our favorite places for fresh seafood on Tybee Island is Bubba Gumbo’s. This place is located right on the dock so it’s literally sea to table. It’s never disappointed.

🚨Know Before You Go🚨
To ensure a safe and enjoyable Pirates Fest celebration, the City of Tybee Island has the following plans in place:

🚧Road Closures: Tybrisa St. and a portion of Strand Ave. by will closed Friday afternoon. South End Parking lot at 16th Street to 18th street closed Wednesday evening - Monday morning. Butler Ave. at 6th Street to Tybrisa Street will be closed on Saturday (10/12) from 2:45pm - 5PM for the Parade.

🚗 Parking: Just like during busy weekends, parking lots may close once they are full. Be sure to plan ahead! Parking is $4 per hour and can be paid by app or kiosk.

🔍 License Plate Readers (LPRs): LPRs will be active around the island to enhance safety and security.

🚔 First Responders: Extra first responders will be on duty throughout the weekend to keep everyone safe and encourage an enjoyable experience for all!
