Happy Spring from Tybee!

Here ya go... The Tybee Spring Equinox '25! The sun only lines up with the Tybee Pier like this twice a year marking the beginning of Spring on Tybee. It's not the real Spring Equinox which is March 20th, but this one, IMO, more closely marks the beginning of Spring on Tybee. The temperatures start to warm up this time of year and and the people begin to return to the island. Its a great time to be in Coastal Georgia and a great time to be on Tybee Island!

Sea Turtles Dig the Dark!! 🐢

It's the most wonderful time of the year 💚
Sea turtle nesting season starts TOMORROW, MAY 1!

With your help, we can ensure these beautiful creatures have the best chance at laying a successful nest. One of the most important things to remember is that bright white lights disturb both the nesting females and hatching babies, so PLEASE remember to leave your flashlight at home when walking the beach this summer and early fall, and turn off any porch/patio lights if visible from the beach. If you must use a light, use a red light! You can buy them specifically or put a red cellophane film over your normal light.
