1. Indulge yourself with the classic flavors of chicken piccata at The Beehive. It’s crisp and tender with an unforgettable piccata finish. Now you can enjoy it for lunch too! The Beehive now opens Tues - Sat at 11am! (.ukiah)
2. This weekend marks Ellie’s 45th anniversary in Ukiah! To celebrate that incredible accomplishment, we’re showing love to the classic BBQ Chicken Wrap. No matter what time of day it is, this always sounds good. Happy anniversary Ellie’s! ()
3. This week Ukiah Brewing Co unveiled its new Happy Hour menu featuring small bites like slider flights, French onion dip, fried green beans and more. Check it out every Monday - Friday from 3-6. ()

5. Marino’s just debuted the perfect little pizza. Say hello to the 8-inch mini pizza, and it’s all for you. We certainly aren’t sharing! 😂 ()
6. Patrona knows all about local ingredients just like this crispy pork belly banh mi sandwich. It features pork belly from Eastside Ranch in Willits. Perfect pairing! ()
7. It’s safe to say Oco Time found the perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors with its creamy cali roll. The creamy chili sauce drizzled on this roll creates a flavor you’ll never forget ()
8. Uh oh Mendo Muscle went and did it again! This latest creation is The Chocolate Bomb featuring a wide range of chocolate flavors, protein and dark chocolate Oreos. Sounds like an explosive combo! () 💣

🌅 Thanks everyone for attending the open house at California Welcome Center Ukiah tonight!

It was another magical night as Visit California took the stage to detail its work throughout the state and to look to the future for tourism right here! Thanks to all the community members, business owners and beyond that came out. It’s always appreciated to see the community come together like this 🙌 🗺️ 📍

💐 Thank you for making Día de los Mu***os a spectacular celebration.

Alex Thomas Plaza was a vibrant sea of color and remembrance in honor of Día de los Mu***os, a holiday that helps reunite the living and the dead. Marigolds and altars could be seen throughout the grounds as we watched some amazing performances, enjoyed food from our local vendors, and took in all the sights like the low riders! Thanks to everyone who helped organize the unforgettable event and to all of you for making this traditional celebration extra special 🕯️🧡💐💀🏵️

🎃 Downtown Trick or Treat was INSANE! 🦇🧙‍♀️

The sidewalks were packed again with trick or treaters and all the businesses brought out their finest treats — and tricks! 🤪 Trunk or Treat at Alex Thomas Plaza was fun for the whole family and we even saw rainbow!? 🌈 Anything can happen on Halloween! Thanks Ukiah. Have a safe and fun night 👻

🎃 Trick or treat! The Cuisine Countdown is here a day early to highlight some Halloween specials and, as always, our favorite food available in Ukiah. Let’s get to the treats!

1. Some new menu items debuted this week at Patrona and this one is the best of both worlds. We’ve got classic chicken wings AND a special veggie quinoa burger. You can enjoy both now at the corner of Standley and School! ()
2. It’s Halloween tomorrow and Marino’s has a special for you! Enjoy this Halloween pizza with a $5 discount if you mention that you saw it online! Tell them Visit Ukiah sent you. You can get yours take and bake style or hot and ready. Get your preorder in today! ()
3. The October drink specials are frighteningly good at Holey Bagels, so consider this your reminder that they’re leaving soon. Stop in and get your own “Poison Apple” before it’s gone. (.bagelsmarket)
4. The Golden Pig has a special Mushroom Burger available now until November 17 featuring a special Marsala-mushroom sautée. YUM ()
5. You know we love some soup in the fall and this is your sign to head to Eddie’s Cocina for this chicken tortilla soup that looks delicious ()
6. If you want fall flavor — on the lighter side — then you need the new chioggia beet salad at Cultivo. The goat cheese is heavenly and beet salads always sound good! ()

🩵 Thank you everyone for attending the unveiling of our new signage at Lake Mendocino!

As the partnership between GUBTA & USACE begins, tonight marked the first of many steps toward a new future for Lake Mendocino! You can see the new sign at the south boat ramp now with more signs coming at the north ramp also. But that’s not all! We’ll be working toward transforming the area at the south ramp into a destination park where the people of Ukiah can thrive. Stay tuned for more details, because the fun is just beginning! Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen. SPACE, you’re so amazing. Thanks for setting the vibe! 🤩

👻 Halloween is just around the corner and that means we’ve got another scary-good list of our favorite food from across Ukiah. It’s Cuisine Countdown time!

1. They’re back! The popular Witch Finger breadsticks from Mama’s Cafe should be available to order in the coming days ahead of Halloween. It’s such a fun Halloween treat that it’s scary! 🧙‍♀️ (.cafe.ukiah)
2. Crepas Cafe has a few tricks and treats up its sleeve for halloween like this pumpkin co**ha. It’s everything you love about the sweet bread treat but shaped like a pumpkin. Too cute! ()
3. One of the new starters for fall at Cultivo is French onion soup, and you will LOVE their take on the classic soup. It’s perfect for fall and a great way to kick off your dinner ()
4. If you’re a kid at heart — or just love a good sandwich, head to Patrona for the new Adult Grilled Cheese for lunch. It features brie melted to perfection with prosciutto and shaved apple on walnut sourdough. ()
5. If you love seasonal flavors for fall, then the wild mushroom ravioli at Left Coast is your ticket. It’s back for the first time in a while and better than ever! ()
6. Here’s one for all our gluten free friends, Fairall’s Farm is featuring gluten free, hand dipped corndogs this week. No gluten? No problem! ()
7. Whether it’s summer or fall, a mojito always sounds good. And lucky for us El Azteca has three options: strawberry, lime and blackberry. We’ll need to try ALL OF THEM! ()

🎃 Pumpkinfest just ended and it was frighteningly fun! The weekend featured a little bit of everything!

An immediate highlight had to be the pet costume contest. There was a lizard AND a pair of goats!? It was the perfect mix of cute and hilarious. Did we mention the food!? Every vendor brought out unique options to satisfy everyone! And Kitty Rose performing in the beer & wine garden set the perfect vibe. And once again, we can’t say thanks enough for making Pumpkinfest 2024 mesmerizing. 🤩🫶👻

This year’s contestants did not come to play around. We saw more than a dozen entries and they were BIG! Alex Thomas Plaza was alive and thriving as families and friends filled the square to take it all in. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it happen and all the participants. It takes a lot to make this happen and we appreciate all of you! Let’s do it again tomorrow at 10am for the parade! 🎃

1. You saw the Halloween mimosa flight last week, now this week check out the Halloween coffee flight from Ellie’s. That’s a scary good way to start the day! ()
2. Here’s one during Pumpkinfest not to miss. It’s turkey legs from Big Earl’s. If you had one last year, you know what I mean. It’s delicious, portable and just looks awesome ()
3. Chinaloa will also be serving up food at Pumpkinfest, and we’ve got to recommend the Mexican Chow Mein. It’s everything you love about lo mein but with an added spice that Chinaloa does so well ()
4. Did you know that The Forest Club has a range of Halloween cocktails available? Now you do! And this Black Magic Margarita has put a spell on us! ()
5. La Cocina just unveiled a new combo plate this week and it’s the best of both worlds. Say hello to the Surf & Turf combo with grilled shrimp and steak plus rice beans and a whole of flavor ()
6. The October drink menu at Holey Bagels is frighteningly awesome with ghostly concoctions like “Ghost Malone.” The name is tooooo good (.bagelsmarket)
7. Dive into the flavors and history of The Golden Pig with “The Cottonwood Passion” cocktail. Its inspired by the saloon that original occupied the building and features tequila, passion fruit syrup, fresh lemon with brandy and a dash of cinnamon. Yum! ()
8. You can’t enjoy Pumpkinfest without some sweet treats, and the pecan brownies from Fairall’s Farm are not to be missed. There’s a gluten free option too so everyone can enjoy. We’ll take two! () 👻

👻 If you’re looking for some scary good food in Ukiah, then you’re in luck! It’s Cuisine Countdown time and this list is frighteningly good 🧛‍♂️

1. We’re kicking off with a terrifying treat from Ellie’s, it’s the Halloween Mimosa Flight. Which flavor will be your favorite? The Killer? The Bloody Vampire? Or how about all four! We’ve got to try this ASAP ()
2. If you missed our video this week, the new German Happy Hour menu at Patrona this month is a HIT. One of our favorites has to be this Bavarian Pretzel made with love and served with cheese and mustard. We could eat 4 at once. They’re that good. ()
3. It’s a perfect time of year to enjoy fresh peppers, and these blistered shish*to peppers at The Beehive are always welcome. Not too spicy, but full of flavor. It’s a perfect starter (.ukiah)
4. Today (Oct 10) marks Oco Day in Japan and our friends at Oco Time are offering up a mini version of this traditional dish starting today and through the weekend. This isn’t something you’ll find at most Japanese restaurants! ()
5. We love seasonal treats, and part of the fall menu at Crepas Cafe includes this Churro Crepa. It’s everything you love about that sweet treat with the soft, delicate texture of a fresh crepe. YUM ()
6. The Golden Pig is in on the fall flavors with this Pumpkin Ginger Soup that sounds heavenly. This is what fall is all about! ()
7. Dutch Girl Desserts just dropped off a shipment of mini pear pies at Westside Renaissance Market and they look soooo good. ( )
8. We’re not done with the seasonal treats yet! Schat’s now offers Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies plus pumpkin muffins. We need BOTH () 🍪🎃

Thanks for a magical night at the Gala in the Street! ✨🏕️

Last night the community came together for the second annual Gala in the Street to help benefit the Ukiah Valley Trail Group () under the lights and stars of School Street. It was a true “glamp out” in every sense. We dined in the street and then the legendary Rachel Britten brought excitement to the night with a live auction as the attendees poured in support for our amazing Trail Group. But that’s not all. Live music from Kitty Rose had us dancing the night away as we made s’mores around the campfire. What a night! 🥾🥘🌟
