An interesting day! There is a family of turkey vultures (collectively named 'Kevin') which can be frequently spotted soaring in the skies. On Tuesday, Kevin injured his wing and was unable to fly.

We captured Kevin and gave him to the The Raptor Center with the University of Minnesota for rehabilitation. The Raptor Center was great to work with and they already had volunteers in the area capturing an injured Bald Eagle (see last photo).

Catching a bird was not what I had planned for the day, but one of my favorite things about Twin Pine Resort is all of the wildlife that lives here. Come visit! You might get to watch me chase a vulture. 🤷

I decided to put a camera on the Robin nest I found at the resort. Best idea yet!

The truth is most days are hard during the construction stage. It can feel like everything is resisting your efforts. But then you get a day where everything aligns.... everyone is working hard, the weather is beautiful, and the radio is playing the right songs. Seeing the furniture and decor fill the space is one of the most rewarding steps for me. When finished, this will be one of the nicest lake rentals available in the area!
