If you are traveling to Maui, avoid the affected areas shown on the map. Access to West Maui is restricted in Lahaina, Nāpili, Kāʻanapali, and Kapalua.

Other areas of the island, such as Kahului, Wailuku, Kīhei, Wailea, Mākena, Pāʻia and Hāna as well as the other islands, are safe for travelers. Travel mindfully and mālama (care for) the island of Maui and the local community.

✈️ Flying early: Opting for early morning flights can have several advantages. Airports are typically less crowded in the early hours, allowing for smoother check-in and security processes. Early flights tend to have a higher likelihood of departing on time, reducing the chances of delays or missed connections. Also, arriving at your destination early in the day gives you more time to settle in, explore, or start your itinerary without feeling rushed.

✈️ Nonstop flights: Choosing nonstop flights whenever possible can greatly enhance your travel experience. Nonstop flights eliminate the need for layovers and minimize the risk of delays, missed connections, or lost luggage. They save you time and energy, allowing you to reach your destination more quickly and efficiently. Nonstop flights are particularly advantageous when traveling shorter distances or when time is of the essence.

✈️ Ample layover time: While nonstop flights are desirable, if you do have a layover, it's beneficial to have enough time between connecting flights. Longer layovers provide a buffer in case of delays or unexpected changes in flight schedules. They also give you the opportunity to relax, grab a meal, or explore the airport's amenities without feeling rushed. Review of Lone Star Court Hotel in Austin
I wanted to love this hotel. I love its sister property in Las Colinas, TX. The room decor and grounds were really cute. It’s in The Domain, which is a great area for shopping and restaurants. I felt like our room had some cleanliness issues. The bathroom floor looked dingy and dirty, and I just felt like the room overall could have been cleaner. The bathroom area had a sliding barn door that was super loud to open and close, so if some were trying to sleep while others were getting ready in the morning, it was so loud. And there was no door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom, so not great privacy. Other than that, for the price point, I might give it another shot. It’s totally up my alley with the old school motor court boutique vibe.

4 Totally Underrated Travel Essentials ✈️

A Packable Backpack Or Duffel: You never know when you’ll have a bag mishap or want to bring home souvenirs that won’t fit in your luggage. A packable bag is a nice thing to have, just in case.

A Packable Jacket: Depending on where you’re going, this is a good thing to have in your arsenal as a contingency plan.

A Portable Charger + Backup Cords: Depending on where you’re going, finding new chargers may or may not be easy. I like to bring a backup phone charger and a portable charger just in case.

Clorox Wipes: It’s never a bad idea to have these in your back pocket when you need them. I always have a travel size pack readily available on the airplane and the first thing I do when I get seated is wipe down my seatbelt fastener, the armrests, and the tray. Those things are never clean!

Making sure my clients leave for their travels with the right essentials in their travel bags is just one of the things I do as a travel advisor.

A girls trip to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
This is a beautiful AAA Five Diamond hotel. Scottsdale has 333 days of sunshine every year, so it’s the perfect spot for my clients to be lounging by one of the pools or relaxing in the premier spa. They can also experience La Hacienda Mexican restaurant at the resort, which some would argue is the best Mexican food in Scottsdale.

A sweet friend and her husband to Secrets Impression Moxche. This is a new boutique-style luxury all-inclusive adults-only resort in Playa Del Carmen.
The suites are beautiful and the food is amazing!
They will have their own Butler (who will even do their laundry for them, so they don’t have to do it when they get home) 🤩
They can relax at the spa, take in views from the rooftop infinity pool, explore the ocean on a standup paddle board, enjoy pickle ball from the rooftop courts, bike throughout the gated community and the list goes on and on!
I can’t wait for them to experience all of this amazingness!

-Go for breakfast and get the Huevos Rancheros
-Great burgers, drinks, and I fell in love with the Butter Beans Vinaigrette
-Must get the Mint Chip Smoothie
-Get the Siciliana. So good with lemons, fennel, and arugula!
-Kale Salad and Deconstructed Banana Cream Pie. It’s called balance.
