I spent the last few days at Cedar Point… I know people love to say that Disney’s prices are through the roof and wild… but Cedar Point (owned by Cedar Fair and Six Flags) is just as expensive, if not more for their Single Use Fast Lane.

We are almost three months into 2024 and here are a few helpful PSAs and a bit of straight talk from your friendly Travel Advisor. 🙂

📌If you are traveling, you should be utilizing a Travel Advisor. There is no reason to not be using one! Do you have questions about how using a Travel Advisor works? Message me and I’ll answer your questions!

📌 If you know you want to travel over spring break or even this summer (March-August) start planning like, yesterday. 😉

📌 Pricing is up…everywhere. Including all things travel. What you could get for 3k a few years ago is not available now, think double.... yes, double and sometimes even higher. And unfortunately I don’t have access to a secret vault with discounted pricing on airfare. 🙃 If you want the best pricing and availability, book EARLY. This means booking now for Fall/Winter or into 2025. The only exception for booking are Disney destinations. Disney has not made available 2025 pricing or reservations. Typically we expect that to be available in May or June for the next year.

📌 ”Deals” are harder to come by now. So gambling with time to see if the price comes down may leave you with less-than-ideal options (and/or) increased pricing. Resorts are fully booked, sold out, thus no need to offer "deals". The better prices are obtained when you book early, I don't want you to pay a penny more for your vacation than you have to!

📌 Availability is already low for summer travel. This is not a scare tactic- it’s honest and based on my research for current client requests. Again, the earlier you book, the better. (I know, I sound like a broken record.)

📌 The pricing and availability I pull for you won't be valid a week from now. The best time for us to look at prices is when you're ready to book!

Ashlee, what type of trips do you plan?

I plan almost every type of trip you can think of! Theme park destinations, all domestic destinations (Hawaii, Key West, Las Vegas, etc), international destinations (Australia, Europe, Mexico, etc), cruises, all-inclusive resorts, family trips, multi-generational trips, honeymoons, girls/boys trips, baby moons, and everything in between!

Ashlee, do you book with Airbnb?
I do not book with Airbnb! The reason I do not book with Airbnb is because I cannot guarantee the quality of your stay when you use an Airbnb. Airbnb's fluctuate in quality, amenities provided, and work that you have to do while at the property (remove bedding, wash towels, clean, etc). I do work with VRBO on very select properties that have been vetted by the Travel Suppliers I work with so we do have options via VRBO that can accommodate a large group if you are wanting to go that way!
