Wynns Family Psychology—
with Offices in Cary NC, Raleigh NC, and now Greensboro, NC! Expert Solutions for Kids, Teens & Families
----------------------------------------------------------
Because we specialize in toddlers through young adults, Wynns Family Psychology is experienced in successfully dealing with a wide range of childhood issues. We’re passionate about helping children and families

flourish. Our full-service practice of compassionate, doctoral-level psychologists offers a spectrum of quality services, including individual child therapy, group therapy, parent counseling, evaluations, and custody consultations (with evening and weekend appointments
available for busy families.) Whether it’s a child acting out, a teen having trouble fitting in, or an anxious college student… our trained professionals can help! Custom Evaluations
----------------------------------------------------------
Parents often have concerns about their child’s academic, social, developmental, or emotional struggles. They know something “isn’t right” but can’t put their finger on it. Our expert doctors provide formal evaluations to uncover the
presence of underlying issues, to rule out the possibility of other disorders, and to identify unique strengths, weaknesses, and needs in children. Testing gives families the invaluable answers needed to appropriately deal with a child’s issues and effectively move forward—ultimately saving time and money spent on services that don’t address the root problem. We take great pride in the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of our assessments. Our comprehensive, solution-focused reports
and custom recommendations piece together a child’s complex puzzle and teach families how to deal with ongoing issues. Psychological, Developmental & Academic Testing—
• AD/HD Testing
• Learning Disabilities (LD) and Dyslexia Testing
• Academically Gifted (AG) Testing—Includes IQ and Achievement Evaluations
• Full Psychoeducational Testing—Includes all of the above plus screening for behavioral, social & emotional issues
• Early Entry to Kindergarten Testing
• Testing for Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism
• Psychological testing for depression, anxiety, OCD, ODD, Conduct Disorder & other adjustment problems
• Substance Abuse Assessments

Therapy Services that Get Results

We have many years of expertise conducting play therapy, CBT, mindfulness counseling, and a variety of other solution-focused therapy strategies. Our caring and encouraging psychologists provide a safe and inviting environment in which kids feel comfortable expressing themselves. We incorporate games, toys, interactive “play,” art materials, and workbooks for younger children, creating
a productive and fun experience in which they want to come back. And because we work with kids every day, we naturally connect with them. Even strong-willed adolescents and teens are eager to talk to our objective and judgement-free psychologists, who are there to listen and provide guidance. Our skilled doctors successfully achieve therapy goals, minimize negative behaviors, and simply help kids feel better. Wynns Family Psychology provides a fun and safe environment in which these skills are taught, practiced, and mastered. Groups focus on essential life skills such as making friends, reading social cues, listening, cooperation, being respectful, improving self-esteem, dealing with being teased, cyber-bullying, and safely navigating online social media. What an amazing opportunity! Huge thank you to Cape Fear Family Law and Janet Gemmell for hiring me to speak at their end of year two day meeting in Wilmington! I presented my Humor Heals workshop and this group threw themselves into the laughter therapy exercises and even did some comedy improv! 😂Yesterday I spoke on self-care and they developed personal self-care plans for 2025! I hope to do more of this next year as part of MY plan! I had a blast!! 🤩🤩🤩
