Start the New Year on the right foot! Join us for the "1st Day Hike" on New Year’s Day, January 1st 2025!

Hike Details: Easy to moderate difficulty, suitable for all ages. Route is not stroller friendly.
Duration: Approximately 2.5 miles round trip. The hike will begin at 1pm starting from and concluding at the park Visitor Center.

Kick off the year with a refreshing guided hike through the stunning winter landscapes of Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Together, we’ll explore scenic trails and soak in the crisp beauty of the Missouri River Valley.

Warm Up: Before or after the hike, gather around for free hot chocolate and coffee served inside the Visitor Center next to a roaring, warm fire.

Did you know October is ?
Today, as I visited some of the retailers that carry the first book I wrote, Nothing Hidden and the three books I co-authored with Kevin Kremer Books, I took a moment to be thankful for all the great people I have met, those who have given me wonderful feedback and the book and service clubs I have spoken to. I started this journey about 12 years ago and have been so blessed to be able to learn so much about local and national history. I get a chance to chase my other passion, photography, with these projects. Thanks again to Kevin Kremer, for this opportunity. Today I had an awesome time leading this group from Touchmark down 1806 past Huff, Ft. Rice, Cannonball, Ft Yates, Prairie Nights for lunch, up Highway 6 for a final stop for ice cream at Rusty’s !
