Hi from the Jenkins👋 Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were busy moving all the furniture out of the Hideaway Cove last week as we decided to take a break from offering it as a vacation rental for a while. We are going to miss this place so much😭Thank you to all the guests who have come stay at our place over the last two years!! We sincerely enjoyed hosting every one of you!
Please stay tuned since we might open back up in the future😉In the meantime, we are hoping to finish fixing up the farm in not so distant future. We hope y’all will check us out once we open there!!

This plant is slowly coming back after the snowpocalypse earlier this year severely damaged it.
It always amazes me how tough nature can be!
Maybe we will have the beautiful agave plant back one day too. It was the centerpiece of the front porch and I still miss it.

Did y’all see the astonishingly red sunrise this morning? We stopped at the Black Rock Park on Lake Buchanan to take the photos on our way to the Cove. We also had a nice chat with the cows that came to say hi 🐮😆

Y’all!!! We can offer WiFi finally!
It had been quite a struggle to find an internet service that works for us in the remote location. We had satellite with limited data at one point but ran into a problem of guests staying later in the month not having any data left, so we had to stop offering it to be fair for all guests.
My husband DJ even tried to build our own pole to catch signals for one local service, but that didn’t work either🤣
So we ended up putting all of our hope on Starlink and waited … But before that become available, T-Mobile came out with home internet that works and without data limit!!! Hooray!! I love the off grid idea but WiFi is definitely nice to have😊

Yesterday we celebrated one year anniversary since we purchased the place🎉
We are so happy to be able to share this beautiful slice of Texas hill country with y’all❤️
Thank you for all the past guests who have visited and loved the Cove as much as we do, and we can’t wait for more guests to come enjoy everything this house and the area offer!!
Just a note, these 17ft kayaks are not for rent but we have 9 various kayaks, 2 SUPs and a canoe that you can use during your stay😊

This past weekend, my daughter and I enjoyed a getaway with her friends and their moms at the Cove❤️It was so nice spending quality time together and making memories before the school starts!!

We’ve set up the coffee bar in the hope that the guests can actually sit down, relax and enjoy their coffee instead of chugging it while running around doing all the adulting things (like me always🤣). That’s what the vacation is all about, right?

Poufs, poufs and more poufs💕The jute ones on the left didn’t hold up very well, so we are switching to straw & flat! We designed this room without big furniture so that it can be used for anything. Sleeping on air mattresses, playing on the floor, doing yoga/exercise… the choice is yours! .
