Had a great time doing the Hogback Twister Challenge Ride on 8/7/21 sponsored by Graeme Wallace and his Hogback Distillery! 9 Canyons, 9 Hours, and hundreds of the twistiest curves on great Colorado mountain roads ALL DAY LONG!!! The weather was perfect for riding in the mountains! Graeme did an excellent job with the planning of the ride, entertainment and food! Check out the Hogback Distillery and test some his Bourbon, you will not be disappointed!

Hello Fellow Motorcycle Touring Enthusiasts! It's been a while since I've posted, there has been a lot going on! Right now April is in the shop with some pretty nasty damage from objects on the highway roads! I was taking her in for a 70K service and on I-70 West bound, changing lanes between Kipling and Ward Rd, I ran over what I thought was a major pot hole! Immediately after that there was a clunking noise, so I pulled over and checked it out. There was some sort of oil leaking and dripping of the left side exhaust! I thought it was something that broke or came lose in the primary. I could not see any other damage. I rode my bike slowly down side street to get it in the shop. While they were checking it in, I told them about the noise and showed them the oil so they could check things out. The next day I stopped in to check what they found, and it was not good news! A very long screw had gone through the tire, nicked the shock, damaged the belt and obviously ruined the tire! Hopefully there is not damage in the primary! Waiting on insurance adjuster to inspect and approve repairs!
Even though it's time off the bike and a waiting game for the repairs to be done, this could have been a lot worse of an outcome! I never saw the object in the road and didn't even see it when I pulled over (must of been hidden up in the fender). It could have gone through the front tire and that could have resulted in a serious accident! Not to say that a rear tire blowout wouldn't have be bad enough, but it did not even go flat! Even though it was an observed holiday, it was still rush hour and traffic was heavy! It was a scary and crappy situation, but me and April live to see another day!
So, keep your eyes peeled and be prepared for what is not seen!
Be Safe, Have Fun and Ride On!

Hello Fellow Motorcycle Touring Enthusiasts! We had a great weekend for riding here in Colorado, so I hope you got out and enjoyed it!
Saturday I rode South of Denver to Palmer lake with a couple friends and then Sunday I rode East of Denver to Limon, CO and had a great lunch at Oscars Bar and Grill with a group of 18 bikes and whole bunch of great people!
I hope you got out on a ride this weekend because here in Colorado it feels like summer one day and then we can have a blizzard the next day!

Have Fun, Be Safe, and Ride On!

Hello fellow Motorcycle Touring Enthusiasts! I would love to hear about your 2020 Riding Season! Share with me how you survived 2020 by riding! It was a challenging year for the whole world, but we find ways to make it through! I know my motorcycle helped me to survive! I lost my job, lived on less than half of the income I was making, and I was not able to land a job, in my field, during the pandemic of 2020! So, what did I do? I got on my Harley and I got wind therapy! If you've checked out my website, you know where I've gone and what it was like and now I want to hear your story! Share your story by sending me an e-mail or posting here and I will share your 2020 motorcycle touring experience with fellow Motorcycle Touring Enthusiasts on my MotorcycleTouringEnthusiasts.com website! I hope to hear from you soon! Until then, Be Safe, Have Fun, and Ride On!

Happy New Year to my fellow Motorcycle Touring Enthusiasts!

I hope that 2021 Brings Many Miles of Smiles to you on your motorcycle this year!
I have been busy and not riding much so I have not posted much over the past month, but I did manage a Year In Review. Check out my new post, https://motorcycletouringenthusiast.com/2020-in-review/. We all know that 2020 has been a very challenging year for the whole world! Many riding tours got cancelled, along with many vacations, weddings, birthdays and holiday get togethers! But now that there are vaccine's for the Covid and we see the light at the end of the tunnel, we can start planning for the 2021 riding season.
As you all know, I love to ride and my hope is to spread the love of riding to anybody who will give me a chance. Riding my Harley gives me a new experience every time! The longer the ride, the bigger the experience! If I could make a living by riding my motorcycle, I would do it in a heartbeat! Well, here it is 2021 and time for new beginnings, new adventures, and new things to try. Check out my new post and just take a look at what I'm offering for 2021!
Thank you for following me on my touring adventures and I hope it inspires you to go for a ride, meet new people and share the passion for motorcycle touring!

Hello fellow Motorcycle Touring Enthusiasts! Just giving a shout out to let you know I've updated the website with some recent rides and video's, so go to https://motorcycletouringenthusiast.com/day-trip-rides/ for the post and then take a look at some of the new video I've added at https://motorcycletouringenthusiast.com/day-trip-tours-videos/.
And just a reminder, as the riding season comes to a close it doesn't mean there won't be nice day's to dust off the hog and get out for some fresh air, just be on the lookout for snow and ice hidden in shadows, wet leaves and sand on the roads! And as always, Be Safe, Have Fun and Ride On!

Another Beautiful Colorado Mountain Fall Ride is in the books! Check out my post update for Day Trip Rides, Twin Lakes, Independence Pass and Aspen in the Fall! I'm still working on it and updating as we speak, but you can take a peak then come back later for updated info and videos

Sometimes we only get a small window of opportunity to catch fall colors here in Colorado, so take advantage of the chances you get and go see it when you can!
Be sure to watch some of the amazing video while you're there and make sure you leave me a comment and "follow me" to get updates on my posts!

I am planning to ride Independence Pass on Friday Morning if anybody is insterested in joining me. I will be leaving the Lakewood Shell Station (Sheridan & Alameda) at 7AM, 285 S to Buena Vista, 82 to Aspen and on to Glenwood Springs, then back home via I-70. Independence Pass has construction but it is alternating traffic beginning at 9AM, so it is open. If you are interested in joining me, leave me a comment, e-mail me, or text me. It will be a full day in the saddle! About 3 hours to summit, 1.5 hours to Glenwood Springs, and 3.5 hours to Lakewood.

As some of you may know, I recently took a motorcycle tour down to Texas, and I would like to share my experience with my Facebook Friends. This was a great trip with lots of miles and plenty of smiles! Yes, it was HOT, because it was the middle of Summer, but I had a great time anyway!
Check out my new post to get all the details and be sure to leave me a comment with your thoughts or suggestions.

Touring TX and collecting coins! I'll have to say, it's HOT and it's Humid, but nothing like when I was rolling into Las Vegas from LA, California...that was a scorching 120 Degrees! Hopefully it won't get that hot down here this coming week!

I'm not sure how many people still collect the dealership challenge coins, they are much more expensive than the poker chips after all, but I am finding that a lot of dealerships aren't carrying them any longer, least not the "dealership specific" coins, because they have to order 250 at a time. They don't want to sit on inventory that's not selling or that is not in demand. I was only able to get one more coin out of the 4 dealerships I needed here in Colorado. At least this is a 2 in 1!
