While we all enjoy the Lake of the Ozarks and love a good time, there is no excuse for this behavior. Please help us find these individuals.

UPDATE: The subject in the photo has contacted our office and is cooperating with our investigation. At this time we do not believe him to be a suspect in this case. Thank you for the overwhelming assistance in sharing this information to help with our investigation. The investigation continues as deputies and detectives are following up on leads.

On Friday, June 28, deputies responded to the Fish & Co. Restaurant in Camdenton for a reported assault. �
During the investigation. deputies discovered a restaurant employee was allegedly pulled into the Lake by a group of restaurant patrons who left the dining area without paying their bar tab. When the server approached the group, which was boarding a boat, she grabbed a boat rail to prevent the boat from leaving. According to the server an unidentified male on the boat then grabbed her arm and pulled her into the lake as the boat was backing away from the slip. The server was able to climb out of the lake by using the swim deck of a nearby boat and is uninjured.
The group of approximately a half dozen people left the area on a red-decked pontoon boat. Witnesses on scene said the group was unknown to them and believed them to be from out of state.

Meet the latest edition to the Hose Monkey Family! We give you the incomparable Booker Derousse! Booker is a 100T Master Captain that has traveled the Florida keys/ gulf coast/ USVI and Maui for the past several years. Booker is not only a certified captain, but also a Search and rescue diver, swift water recovery operator, and dive instructor. Booker is also a talented Musician who will probably sing you a few songs while you anchor out in a cove. His other talents include home building, carpentery, handyman services, and just being an all around good guy! With booker at the helm, you wont be looking for where the action is, you WILL be the action!

Meet the crew!

Tim (T.D. Perez) is the proprietor of Hose Monkey Charters and the proud owner of the Hose Monkey. For forty-eight hours a week he is also Lieutenant Perez at Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District. A father of four children, and grandfather of three children. Tim and his wife have been married for twenty-eight years. Tim grew up boating on the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks every weekend with his grandfather, and knows his way around the Lake better by water than by car. As a US Coast-Guard Certified 25 Ton master captain, he is qualified both on paper and in experience to operate any vessel on the Lake with safety and expertise. If you are looking for a Captain who offers not only skills, but personality and professionalism, Tim (T.D. Perez) is your guy!

The Hosemonkey logo:

Many people notice the ornery looking little monkey tattoo embellishing the stern of the Hosemonkey along with her name. Few people outside of family know that that little monkey is named “Franky,” and was designed and drawn by our Naval Corpsman son, Austin Perez. Franky, himself is modeled in memory of a firefighter friend who had an indomitable spirit, a great sense of humor, and an insatiable appetite for fun. He was definitely one-of-a-kind, an original!

The name Hose Monkey for this boat raises the question of how it came to be. The answer lies in the firefighting background of its ownership and captaincy. Many of the US Coast Guard Master-ton certified captains are current or retired firefighters, which led to the decision to give the boat a firefighter-themed name. In firefighting lingo, 'hose monkey' is an affectionate term used by police or other first responders to refer to fireman, making it the perfect choice for a boat with such strong ties to the fire service. Now you know, “the rest of the story”.
