Today on Indigenous Peoples Day, we spent time in nature—grateful for the land, the stories it holds, and the people who have called it home for generations.

We’re proud to live in a community with such rich Indigenous roots and history.

The first day of summer in Churchill might come with ice floes on the Bay and scattered along the beach at low tide—but the tundra is bursting with colour and wildflowers are in bloom.

This place is wild, beautiful, and unlike anywhere else, and that’s exactly why we love it. We can’t wait to welcome our Natural Habitat Adventures guests in just a few short weeks!

Happy Father’s Day! 🦊

In the wild, the Arctic fox dad is known for his loyalty—staying with his mate and helping raise and protect their pups.

Today, we celebrate all the strong, caring, and dependable men in our lives who do the same—nurturing, protecting, and showing up day after day.

Thank you to the amazing fathers and father figures in our family and our business.

Some days, a distant blob on the ice has us second guessing—was it a rock, a patch of snow… or a bear? Yesterday was one of those days. But not today. Today we brought the camera—and found this beautiful mom and cub snoozing peacefully at low tide.

This morning we woke up to an open Hudson Bay and ice floes piled up on the shore — just waiting for the first beluga sighting now.

We love this month in Churchill!

The sun is shining, the air is clear, and the Churchill River is open — it’s a beautiful day here in Churchill. But even as we enjoy this moment, our hearts are with the thousands of Manitobans forced to leave their homes because of wildfires.

We are thinking of you and sending strength.

Today’s Churchill sky is hazy and tinged orange with smoke drifting in from wildfires across Manitoba. We’re under an air quality advisory and our thoughts are with the communities facing evacuations and the firefighters working tirelessly on the front lines.

Our own company president once worked as a Sector Leader and Fire Control Officer, so we know firsthand the dedication and bravery it takes to battle these fires. Thank you to everyone involved in keeping people and communities safe.

Today is the International Day for Biological Diversity.

This year’s theme, “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development,” is close to our hearts.

As a family-owned and operated company based in Churchill, Manitoba, we are proud to operate tours that showcase the stunning biodiversity of the subarctic while treading lightly on the land. From our low-impact Polar Rovers to our long-standing partnerships with conservation-focused organizations like Natural Habitat Adventures, we work every day to ensure that wildlife viewing is done with respect—for the animals, their habitats, and the generations to come.
We believe that tourism, when done responsibly, can support both local communities and conservation.

Happy Mother’s Day!
Like the mother polar bear who walks miles across the ice, fiercely protecting and nurturing her cubs, moms everywhere show strength, love, and resilience every single day. Today we celebrate the quiet sacrifices, the tireless care, and the fierce devotion that define motherhood in all its forms.

Wishing you warmth, love, and a well-deserved moment of rest.
