I love the National Parks and all the Historic Sites! And what's more perfect that adding them onto your already scheduled weekend getaway??? 🥳

National Historic Sites are located all over our country and close to a lot of major cities. They are great for those who love history, love the outdoors or love to get their NP Passport book stamped 😉🤣🙋‍♀️

This weekend we head to Vegas to see Nate Bargatze! 🎤 Then we will spend a day to visit Hoover Dam and Lake Meade. Check out the cool tunnel we'll see on the Historic Train Trail! 👇

I often get asked, "How long does it take to get your passport?" There was a season where it was taking forever and getting an appointment was almost impossible! 😵‍💫

I think we're through that season, and that things are getting back to normal! We had the boys' appointments on December 24th and received their passports in the mail today! So all in all it took about a month. I've had client's that recently got theirs in 2 weeks. 🤩

This is good news! But if you need a passport to travel, don't stress yourself out by waiting until the last minute! Get it scheduled early and get it done! ❤️

At Universal Studios you'll find DreamWorks Land and at Islands of Adventure you'll find Suess Landing! They are the perfect spots for your family!

DreamWorks Land is the place for Trolls, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek lovers! 💚💙❤💛 You can get Trolls treats or Swamp Snacks, ride the Trollcoaster, make music at King Harold's Swamp Symphony, see several shows, meet characters from Gabby to Shrek. And, you have 3 play areas to choose from: Shrek's Swamp for Little Ogres, Poppy's Playground and Po's Kung Fu Training Camp. You could play here for hours! Dress the kids in swimsuits because there's lots of water play! 🩳🩱

This summer we are taking a bucket list trip to Alaska! 🤩 We will cruise from Seward, through Glacier Bay, with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Icy Point Strait and Ketchikan before making our way to Vancouver! 🛳

BUT...before this cruise, we are taking an ALASKAN ROAD TRIP! 🚙 So, over the last few days the hubs and I have been planning 🗓📕the Road Trip portion!

Here are some of the things/stops we plan to make! (As of now anyway...)

✨️Iditarod Museum and Dog Mushing! 🐕
✨️Denali National Park 🏔
✨️Alaskan Salmon Bake at Pioneer Park 🐟
✨️Mining Gold 💰
✨️Alaskan Pipeline (I mean, I feel like I need to see it if I'm there)
✨️Visiting North Pole, Santa's House and his reindeer 🎄🎅
✨️Staying in a remote, old mining town in Wrangell St. Elias National Park ⛏️
✨️Walking on a Glacier 😳 in Wrangell St. Elias (like I legit had to buy crampons for all of us!)
✨️Scenic Seward Hwy
✨️Exit Glacier at Kenai Fjords National Park and hopefully seeing whales in Seward! 🐋🐳

Universal's Endless Summer Dockside Standard Room

I kept debating what to post first about my time in Florida 🙃so, I decided to just start at the beginning! ❤ We started our time with a stay at Universal's Endless Summer Dockside Inn and Suites. Dockside is a large but great hotel for guests visiting Universal Parks! And it has a great option for larger families of 5 or 6. Yes it has the standard room as you'll see in this video (which I'm horrible at walk-throughs, so bear with my fingernail at the bottom 😂😉🤦‍♀️), but it also has an affordable suite with a bedroom for mom and dad, and then 2 queens for the kiddos. Here are some pros for a stay at Dockside: ✨Great value for large families ✨Good food court ✨2 pools and they are large! ✨Free transportation to all Universal Parks ✨Hotel is only 4 years old Here are some cons: ✨The hotel is large...so it does take some time to get to your room ✨Only transportation is by bus, which takes about 10 minutes to get to Universal ✨Once at Universal, you do have to walk through CityWalk to get to the parks, so you should leave at minimum 30 minutes to get to the parks In all honesty, I really enjoyed Dockside! I didn't mind the busses, and I thought the whole experience was great! And even though we didn't get to swim in the pools, they were beautiful and looked so fun! #emilylovestraveling #magicalvacationplanner #mvp #mvpparks #universalorlandoresorts #docksideinnandsuites #greatforlargefamilies
