Happy Thanksgiving! We are thankful for all of our renters that make it possible to have our two condos on beautiful Marco! We enjoy getting to share our places and to hear the joy, relaxation and memories that they bring! The first thing my husband and I do when we get to our condos is sit down and read through the guest books. We hope you all have a wonderful and blessed holiday season!

We just wanted to assure everyone, that although much of southwest Florida received damage from Hurricane Ian, Marco was spared the brunt of it. The hurricane skirted alongside Marco, and while it did bring a storm surge it did not cause a severe amount of damage. Our condos did not receive any damage. There were some low lying residences and businesses with flooding, but many businesses and restaurants are already open again with more opening every day. There is some cleanup going on and minor damage being fixed on the island, but power is mostly restored, the water supply was not compromised and the beaches are still beautiful! Our Apollo unit is ready to go! The Riverside unit also had no damage, but the pool and pool equipment flooded as well as the docks. The pool is expected to be up and going by the end of the month. Thank you to all who have checked in. We hope to host you for a vacation soon!

Kayak, sailboat, or jet ski…or just relax on the beach. There’s something for everyone. One of our favorite things we have done was rent paddle boards…there was so much ocealife that we could see through those crystal clear waters.

A gorgeous day at the Apollo. Gave the condo a little TLC today. Not a bad view while you’re working. I think our favorite upgrade this trip was a new shower head that made a big improvement in the water pressure.

We took our kids on this tour and really enjoyed it! We learned a lot and saw a bunch of dolphins. And as a bonus we got to do some shelling at the end of the tour!

It’s been wayyyyy too long!! Being pregnant during a pandemic means we haven’t traveled to Marco since Nov of 2019. Luckily we’ve had a wonderful cleaning crew that has kept us updated on things that need to be replaced, and with the ease of Amazon we have been able to send what we need. But finally we can be here and give our condos a little TLC! Pictures in the comments of what we’ve updated at the Apollo on day one!

Can’t wait to try Smith House - Olde Marco village on our visit next month! The Smith House is walking distance from our Riverside condo.

The Crabcake Benny special was an absolutely delicious breakfast today at Smith House, 210 Royal Palm Drive, in Olde Marco Village on Marco Island. The shady patio was perfect with a nice breeze. Put this place on your list. Smith House - Olde Marco village
