One of my favorite parts of my job is doing site tours and inspections! This way, I can get a feel of the property and know exactly what to suggest to clients when they come to me for recommendations.

The Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach key takeaways:

🔹Beach chairs and umbrella rentals are included in your resort fee! This is great for social distancing by encouraging guests to spread out and use more than just the pool chairs.

🔹The hotel is not only family friendly but also educational for the kids! The Wyndham partners with Clearwater Marine Aquarium to offer Winter, the dolphin themed bunk beds rooms. When you book, portion of the proceeds from your reservation are donated back to Clearwater Marine Aquarium to support animal care, research, and conservation efforts!

After months of not traveling and being cooped up I’ve never wanted to escape to a luxury all inclusive more than right now.

Not having to think about what to cook everyday because breakfast is brought to my room accompanied with tropical ocean views. Dinner is not a far drive either. A leisurely stroll down the beach and I can pick between an array of international cuisines. And the best part? When I want social distance, I can arrange for a private cabana as the perfect hideaway.

Can you relate? When the vacation blues hit, I know it’s time to start planning that next trip!

This was the last trip I took before the pandemic. It was a special gift. A very special one. So special I wanted to save it forever and never cash it in. Like the last delicious bite of your favorite dessert that you save and want to savor forever. ⁣

I came back from this trip on March 5th, 2020 and little did I know, in the blink of an eye, everything around me changed.⁣

These intimate glimpses of wanderlust saved on my phone are cherished forever and will have to satisfy my travel cravings until I’m able to venture out again.⁣

I love finding travel inspiration when I least expect it. Just yesterday I was cleaning out my closet when I found my Doremon face mask that I bought on my last trip to Vietnam.⁣

Suddenly, it got me thinking about when I will get a chance to visit Japan.⁣
⁣
The reason I chose this seemingly childish print is because of pure nostalgia. ⁣
I grew up reading a Japanese comic about Doremon, a robot cat with a pouch full of mythical gadgets. The one gadget that I wish were real is the "Anywhere Door". Its function is to transport the user to whatever location they desire by walking through it.

You could say my love for travel stems from this childhood reflection.⁣

It won’t come as a surprise that around here the travel plans usually fall to me. But if I left all of the planning up to my sister, we would:⁣
⁣
🛎 order room service for every meal⁣
💤 lounge by the pool all afternoon ⁣
🌅 and only come out to walk the beach in the evening and watch the sunset.⁣
⁣
As long as she is with me on vacation, I’m happy. BUT I just might have to add a ziplining excursion to the mix. I am the total opposite and can't sit still when I am on vacation. I set multiple alarms and have an itinerary for every day that we are there so that we can soak up every second of the trip!⁣

One of my favorite things about staying at a nice resort is checking out what type of toiletries they stock up on. And at Unico, they do not skimp on the accommodations! ⁣
⁣
All guest rooms and suites blend modern amenities (think: Nespresso coffee makers, free Wi-Fi access and JBL Bluetooth sound systems) with decor accents handmade from local materials.⁣
⁣
💡 Tip: No need to pack the bug spray! You can request it sent to your room through the Unico app. This was a thoughtful touch for when we had to leave the resort for a zip-lining excursion. ⁣

During the week I hustle hard for my clients but weekends are my time to clip on my nifty f***y pack and go for a stroll. The fresh air, abundance of greenery and watching people kayak (from a safe distance) is a tranquil way to jumpstart the weekend. ⁣

Travel may be at a standstill but things are still in full swing over here. I’m grabbing my water then getting to work on editing a video showcasing my recent trip to Unico. I want to share a visual of the trendy resort to help you get an idea of all the places that are waiting for your return once we’re cleared to travel again. ⁣

I’m also spending time preparing to take my CTA (Certified Travel Associate) exam and brushing up on supplier trainings. When the world is ready to travel again, I will be waiting!

✈️ A Thursday throwback to one of the COOLEST planes I’ve ever been on:⁣
⁣
I was connecting from Japan to Washington D.C and noticed people crowding around the big airport window taking pictures of the incoming plane. I had to get up and see for myself. ⁣
⁣
To my surprise it was a BB-8 decked out airplane! ⁣
BB-8 is my FAVORITE Star Wars droid 😍. ⁣
And I got a chance to fly in one!⁣
⁣
It was around a 16+ hour flight and I was lucky enough to have the whole row of seats to myself. BB-8 was everywhere on the plane.⁣ On the headrest cover, napkins, cups and passengers even got to leave with a decorated boarding certificate as a souvenir!⁣
To top it all off, Yoda made a surprise appearance! ⁣

What a sweet memory to look back on. 🥰⁣
⁣
Today the BB-8 airplane, tomorrow the Millennium Falcon! ⁣

During this time of self-quarantine, I find myself trying new ways to stay active. As I rolled out the yoga mat this morning, I couldn’t help but think back to the last time I did yoga. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It was on a floating mat! I focused my attention on the freedom of travel and the privilege to take on new challenges.⁣ I could hear the the calming sound of the Tibetan singing bowl echoing while the instructor guided us to the next yoga pose. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
One of the many reasons why I recommend Unico to my clients is because it’s so refreshing to see a resort incorporate so many wellness classes in their schedule.
