What to do on an off day? RESORT HOP. You never know what (or who) you will find. We have stumbled upon characters before at Coronado Springs and The Grand Floridian had the neatest photo opportunity. It’s not everyday you get to hold Cinderellas glass slipper.

Walmart+ was a HUGE hit for us this trip. We had very unexpected cold weather. A few items we ordered: a jacket, leggings, blankets, snacks, and waters. If Walmart has it, they will deliver it. We met our driver at the front of our resort and had snacks and warmth the rest of the trip.

We had abnormally cold temps this week in Walt Disney World. We brought some warm clothes, but not enough. Did you know you can do laundry at the resorts? I was shocked the amount of people who were also doing laundry (maybe they had the same problem as us). You can buy your laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and wash/dry your clothes for under $10.

Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort updates regarding operations due to Hurricane Milton:

Walt Disney World:
On Wednesday, October 9, theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1:00 PM
Magic Kingdom park, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 PM. It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10. This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10.

Universal Studios:
•On October 9th Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. and will be closed on October 10th. Universal •Volcano Bay will be closed October 9th and 10th/
• Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled October 9th and 10th
• Hotels remain operational and they anticipate a full reopening of destinations, including Halloween Horror Nights, on Friday, Oct. 11 at our normal operating hours pending the outcome of storm
