Some of these sound all too familiar from fellow agents who ask if there was anything else they could have done.

THESE ARE ACTUAL COMPLAINTS RECEIVED BY "THOMAS COOK VACATIONS" FROM DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS:

1. "They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax."

2. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food."

3. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish."

4. "We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it would be included in the price."

5. "The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room."

6. "We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more yellow."

7. "It's lazy of the local shopkeepers in Puerto Vallartato close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time -- this should be banned."

8. "No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared."

9. "Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers."

10. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."

11. "The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read the local guide book during the bus ride to the resort. Because of this, we were unaware of many things that would have made our holiday more fun."

12. "It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the Americans only three hours to get home. This seems unfair."

13. "I compared the size of our one-bedroom suite to our friends' three-bedroom and ours was significantly smaller."

14. "The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the resort.' We're trainee hairdressers and we think they knew and made us wait longer for service."

15. "When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners."

16. "We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was no air-conditioning."

17. "It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel."

18. "I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes."

19. "My fiancée and I requested twin-beds when we booked, but instead we were placed in a room with a king bed. We now hold you responsible and want to be re-reimbursed for the fact that I became pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."

🛑🛑🛑This is one of the best scams I’ve heard about.
You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. Typically when checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for any charges to your room).

You go to your room and settle in. All is good.
The hotel receives a call and the caller asks for (as an example) room 620 - which happens to be your room.

The phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following: 'This is the front desk. When checking in, we came across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side of your charge card.'

Not thinking anything wrong, since the call seems to come from the front desk you oblige.
But actually, it is a scam by someone calling from outside the hotel.
They have asked for a random room number, then ask you for your credit card and address information.
They sound so professional, that you think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this scenario on your travels, tell the caller that you will be down to the front desk to clear up any problems. Then, go to the front desk or call directly and ask if there was a problem.
If there was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone tried to scam you of your credit card information, acting like a front desk employee.

This was sent by someone who has been duped........and is still cleaning up the mess.

ANYONE travelling should be aware of this one!

How to apply for a passport!

Step one: Go to https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/forms.html

Step two: Click on Form Filler under "Application For A U.S. Passport (DS-11)".

Step three: Accept the privacy notice, then submit.

Step four: Click on submit under "Fill Out Online and Print"

Steps five: Complete the application.

Step six: On the Passport Products and Fees page, choose your passport options.

Passport Options: *Passport Book ($130)
*Passport Card ($30)
*Passport Book & Card ($160)

Total Payable to "Department of State"- Passport Option plus $35.00 dollars

Example: Passport book- $130

Acceptance facility fee- $35

$165 total

-How to Submit Your Form(s)
Inside the United States: You must appear in person at an Acceptance Facility or a Passport Agency with your DS-11.

* Locate a Passport Acceptance Facility near you. https://iafdb.travel.state.gov/

Here are several photos from our most-recent site visits in Punta Cana! We visited a few resorts to be able to better serve our clients, and received a lot of information to be able to ensure we are quoting the best resorts for our clients.

The resorts we visited are:
Dreams Onyx
Breathless Punta Cana
Royalton Bavaro

The takeaways from the week are, Royalton had the best food by far, then Breathless, and Dreams.

The service was best at Royalton with Dreams and Breathless being just behind. The beverage staff at all three were very attentive, remembered food allergies, and made fantastic recommendations!

New favorite beverages are a virgin Purple Rain ( frozen lavender lemonade) and at Dreams resort they made a drink they called a Flower with a variety of fresh juices.

We can’t wait to share the information we obtained for our clients to have the best vacation possible!

What an amazing day in the gorgeous Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! We did a site visit on behalf of one of our brides so we can better assist in finalizing their wedding plans.

Royalton Bavaro did NOT disappoint! Gorgeous grounds, unique features that are centrally located, kind and generous staff and much more.

The wedding department were amazed at how tall Trey is, she said next to him she looked like an elf that should be working in the North Pole (but she hates the cold).
