Hello my loyal followers! Once again, I apologize for being MIA … LIFE!
I wanted to comment and provide my opinions on Frontier Airlines’ Discount Programs in light of their recent introduction to the “All-You-Can-Fly” Pass. We all know these things tend to come with a ton of fine print so I’m going to shorten it up for you here accompanied by screen shots. This is probably going to be long - but important - so bear with me.
If you regularly fly Frontier, you’re likely familiar with them being a “budget” airline who “nickels and dimes” you for everything (luggage, seat selection, refreshments, etc.) which ends up adding up to the price of a ticket on Southwest anyway. Well, here’s a few tricks to keep your $75 fare at $75: bag fits under the seat = free; let them select your seats (with risk of being separated from your travel partner) = free; pack an EMPTY reusable water bottle & fill after security = free; if you must check a bag, share it with your partner (use packing cubes!) *NOTE max weight 40lbs.
Their “Discount Den” (DD) membership is great and essentially pays for itself right away. These are discounted rates to DD members than what are available to the general public (GP). Screenshot #1 RT: $110 DD vs $125 GP - this doesn’t seem like much but if you have a family of 4, you save $60). The cost is $40 first time enrollment fee, $59.99 annually. Right now they’re running a promo with $50 travel voucher with sign up.
They run crazy promos on their WEBSITE (not the app) including 100% off your fare - you pay tax & fees. Screenshot #2 breakdown: tix $99.96; fare $35.12, fees $64.84 (your OOP cost). *I recently snagged $76 RT with this promo to Orlando next month.
Onto the “All-You-Can-Fly” Pass. Currently on “sale” for $799/yr FOR THE FIRST YEAR; renewal changes to $1999/yr (if you do buy, be sure to cancel that auto-renewal!)!
So what is included in that $799? This pays for the FARE ONLY; you will still be responsible for paying the tax & fees. Screenshots below show breakdown of flight pricing for ONE WAY.
Screenshot #3 (Domestic): tix $58.98. Fare $19.89, you pay tax & fees $39.09.
Screenshot #4 International: $278.84. Fare $194.18, you pay $84.66. Doesn’t seem terrible, right? BUT, let’s get to the fine print:
Booking restrictions
1. You can only book ONE WAY 24 hours (domestic) & 10 days (international) prior to travel - this means you cannot book Round Trip or a return flight at initial departure booking.
2. Blackout dates (Screenshot #5) pretty much every/potential holiday
3. The pass only covers fares; it does not cover any bags, seat selection, refreshments, etc.
While the pass is not for me, it may be for you - assuming you have the ability to drop everything for last minute trips and it’s not an issue for you if you don’t make it home on the desired date (take your laptops for those who can work remotely!).

This is a lot (and possibly confusing) of information so please don’t hesitate to comment or DM me with any questions. Remember, this is my personal review & opinions!
Last thing - those of you who want to escape winter, don’t forget to reach out for quotes! I have a lot of great promos running and I always check various vendors/competitors to ensure my clients get the best deal!
