After being back for several days from my time aboard the Disney Wish, I can say it was a beautiful time.

On Embarkation Day we had a port arrival time of 11:45 am. We got through being checked in and security rather quickly. Once we headed to the boarding area we immediately got in line to get our first family photos of the cruise, then hopped back into the line to board the Wish. Once onboard we head to Arendelle for a sit down lunch or we could have heard to Marceline Market for the buffet.

After lunch we explored a bit before the Sail Away Party. Once we were officially sailing we went to check our stateroom, which was a Standard Inside room on deck 7. Room explored we headed to dinner back in Arendelle. Such a fun experience and my daughter was captivated the whole time. After dinner my daughter went to the kids club, so my husband and I explored the rainforest room at Senses Spa. I highly recommend it.

Day 2 was in Nassau, but we stayed on the ship to explore all there was to offer. Royal Gathering for my daughter (reservations required), AquaMouse, kids and teen club for my children, rainforest room, backdrop photos and ended with dinner and Pirates night.

Day 3 was Castaway Cay. Meet a few characters, played in the water, had lunch and my husband took each of our kids out for different activities on the water. Returned to the ship to get ready for Halloween on the High Seas and dinner. We did meet a few character’s in their Halloween costumes before dinner. After my daughter went to the kids club one last time.

Our time was short but magical memories were made and we can’t wait for our new Disney Cruise.

Walt Disney World Announcement:
We (Disney) will continue to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Milton. Based on the latest projection, we are making additional operational adjustments for the safety of our Guests and Cast Members beginning tomorrow, Oct. 9.

The Walt Disney World Emergency Operations Center is connected to weather experts and community leaders. Please know these adjustments have been made in order to leave plenty of time for our Guests and Cast Members to return to their Resort hotels or homes safely hours before higher winds are expected to reach Central Florida.

Operational Impacts Include:

Walt Disney World Theme Parks
▶️ On Oct. 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m.
▶️ Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m.
▶️ Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.
▶️ It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.
▶️ This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

Disney Resort Hotel Closures
▶️ Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.

Transportation
▶️ Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating Wednesday, Oct. 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close. Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

Recreation
▶️ Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences
▶️ Effective immediately, we will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences.
Pre-paid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

Disney is closely monitoring the path of the projected storm, and the safety of our Guests and Cast Members remains top priority. Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions and will continue to be on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Looking ahead, Disney will make adjustments based on the latest weather forecast.
