Did you know, while park reservations for dated tickets are no longer required at Walt Disney World 🏰 they ARE still required in some cases, one of which is anyone using Military Salute Tickets (or if you’ve splurged for an annual pass 😉).

This should apply to most military families because the military ticket offer is one of the BEST values you’ll find.

If you want to take advantage of military rate room discounts for 2024, we can assist in getting those booked for you. Military families may also add the dining plans to their basic salute package.

Beginning December 2024, the Disney Treasure will unlock fun, adventure and relaxation for families with an inaugural season of 7-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean 🏖️ from Port Canaveral.

Adventure is the theme and foundation in honor of Walt Disney’s legendary passion for travel 🧳 and exploration 🧭. Some highlights include stories from Aladdin, Coco and Zootopia.

Yes, it’s still Summer but Fall is brewing at Walt Disney World. The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is Aug. 11 and EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival🍷 has kicked off and goes through Nov. 18. It’s one of my favorite times of the year at Disney. The Dining Plan is coming back in 2024! Booking for 2024 packages begins May 31. Although military rates for 2024 won’t be released until the fall you can still book early and if discounted rates are available for your resort and dates the promotion can be applied to your reservation. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will return to Magic Kingdom Park late this summer and will run through this fall with parties kicking off August 11.

This limited capacity, nighttime event starts at 7 p.m. and allows guests to experience shorter wait times on attractions, themed food and beverage and more. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting April 27, and tickets will be available to all guests starting May 2. The event dates are:

August: 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29

September: 1, 4, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29

October: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, 31

November: 1

Shades of Green has announced the walking path to the Polynesian will be closed effective May 1. This is a permanent change due to a road expansion. Shades of Green is still a great value as a benefit to service members and their families. They do plan to increase busses and there are many other transportation options available to the theme parks. If this impacts anyone’s decision to stay at Shades of Green, they are waiving any cancellation fees as long as your reservation was made prior to April 4. While Disney’s value and moderate resorts don’t come with the extra evening hours Shades of Green does, their rates can be comparable when the military discount or other promotions are available and applied. Disney just announced more After Hours events which will now include Epcot. These 3-hour specially ticketed events allow you access to shorter wait times for rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Frozen Even After when the park is less crowded because this is a limited ticket event. As a bonus, even though the event may start at 10 p.m., your ticket allows you to enter the park as early as 7 p.m. to take advantage of additional offerings before it closes to only After Hours guests at 10. In addition to access to popular rides, guests will also receive complimentary popcorn, bottled beverages and ice cream available at carts throughout the park. This is one of our favorite ways to see the parks and maximize our time. We've added these on when sailing out of Port Canaveral for a cruise when you only have a day and don't want to buy the multi-day Military Salute tickets. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase these special event tickets early beginning Feb. 28. All other Guests may purchase tickets beginning March 3. Reach out to learn more.
