Time to eat! Disney dining plans will be coming back as an option for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package with us starting with stays beginning Jan. 9, 2024, which will also open for bookings on May 31. We know our guests – and families in particular – have missed dining plans, which are pre-paid and offer added convenience and peace of mind. Guests will be able to choose from two popular options: Packages that include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan – both will be a great value for families with young children with access to many spectacular food and beverage offerings across Walt Disney World.

I haven't posted much in a while. Spring Break/Easter rush had me hopping (sorry for that bad pun) making sure all my Disney families had a magical Disney World or Universal Studios Florida vacation. Some did both. The best of both worlds! People are already in love with Guardians of the Galaxy in Epcot. Now Tron is open in Magic Kingdom and my clients who tried it LOVED it! Some so much they did it on 2 separate days. The night time fireworks show "Enchantment" has been replaced by fan favorite "Happily Ever After" in Magic Kingdom.
In dining news Round Up Rodeo BBQ has opened in Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios 3 weeks ago and it's getting rave reviews. This is a MUST for Toy Story fans although there are no characters. It is an all you can eat lunch or dinner served family style set in Andy's room. You start with Homemade cheddar biscuits with sweet pepper jelly followed by 3 different types of salads. Then they bring your table ribs, brisket, bbq chicken, and sausage along with FOUR sides and choice of 5 desserts. Plant based options are available as well. My families who went last week loved everything right down to signing their check with a GIANT pencil.
If you're looking for a more refined upscale meal Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian Resort has reopened after a refurbishment and has an updated menu although their signature dish the surf and turf is reported to be as great as ever. This is one of the most beautiful restaurants on property. It sits on Seven Seas Lagoon and has a magnificent view of the fireworks in Magic Kingdom. The music is even piped into the restaurant.
Breakfast is FINALLY reopening at Garden Grill in Epcot after being closed since 2020. This is a very popular all you can eat character meal with Mickey, Pluto, and Chip and Dale served family style. What makes this restaurant even more fun is that it slowly rotates above the Living With the Land ride.

A new dining promo has been announced for guests of the Walt Disney World Resort!

Eligible guests will receive a Disney Dining Promo Card with a dollar amount that’s based on the category of Disney resort hotel they book, providing guests with the opportunity to “Stay, Play, & Dine” this summer. Here’s how it works…

When you purchase a 5-night, 4-day non-discounted room and ticket package at select participating resorts, you’ll receive a Disney Dining Promo Card in the amount of up to $750. The card can be used to purchase food and beverage at select participating locations throughout Walt Disney World.

Travel Dates: June 25 – September 14, 2023

For arrivals July 1 – July 10, 2023 and August 1 to September 14, 2023
Value Resort – $50 per night

Great, long awaited news! Yah-hoo, let’s eat! Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet and sing along, as the beloved musical dinner show Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e returns this summer to Walt Disney World Resort! Reservations will be available starting May 26 for showtimes beginning June 23.

The Pioneer Hall Players and Cast Members will be welcoming back Guests to this frontier-style family fun dining experience in Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. First debuting in 1974, Hoop-Dee-Doo will once again offer Guests a rousing Wild West performance, singing, zany vaudeville comedy with lots of laughs and an unforgettable countrified feast full of fried chicken, smoked BBQ ribs, a variety of savory sides and of course, strawberry shortcake!

Since its opening day almost 50 years ago, this fan-favorite show has continued to surprise and delight our Guests, and as Disney grows we look for new ways to elevate and enhance our classic experiences. Hoop-Dee-Doo will return with a few updates to its script and scenery, while staying true to the treasured experience the whole family can enjoy – with the hilarious, high-spirited entertainment that it’s been known for all these years.

Hoop-Dee-Doo holds a special place in the hearts of many Disney fans and Cast Members and has been creating special memories for generations. We’ve heard from so many Guests who are excited about the show’s return and we look forward to seeing the curtain rise once again!

“COVID‑19 has been a constantly evolving situation, and for nearly two years, we’ve been very intentional and gradual in our approach to COVID‑19 health and safety protocols. Given recent community trends and the availability of vaccines, we are positioned to responsibly adjust our health and safety protocols for fully vaccinated Guests. Beginning Thursday, February 17, the following health and safety updates will be in place at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations. Guests who are not fully vaccinated are expected to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters. Face coverings are still required by all Guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner.”

Great news! Disney World has just released some exciting information about fan-favorite entertainment returning to Walt Disney World!

Kicking off the fun on Feb. 11 is the brand-new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! Starring nearly 30 of your favorite Disney and Pixar friends, this super-sized cavalcade features Nick and Judy from Zootopia, Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book, José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros, plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more – including the Magic Kingdom debut of Miguel from Coco in his mariachi best.

That’s not the only much-anticipated offering coming to the parade route. The beloved Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade returns to Magic Kingdom Park beginning March 9 – the anniversary of the debut of the parade in 2014!

Dazzling guests since its debut, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade features beloved characters from The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Peter Pan, and more bringing their individual stories to life on enchanting floats that look as though the characters themselves had a hand in crafting them. Looming 26 feet above the parade route and 35 feet in length, the fire-breathing Maleficent Dragon float returns just as menacing as ever.

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will make its debut on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage Feb. 25! The show, newly enhanced for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration, will incorporate favorite scenes inspired by Frozen, Tangled, and The Princess and the Frog – plus a new opening and a new finale with Mickey Mouse and all his friends in their sparkling, EARidescent fashions. Presented multiple times a day, the show will also include an all-new, original song entitled Where the Magic Feels Like Home.

These new and returning experiences add to the all-new entertainment that debuted with the launch of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration, including Disney Enchantment, Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade, and Harmonious – with more to come when Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! and Fantasmic! open later this year.

I get asked often about the Real ID certification needed to fly domestically. You will not be required to have one until May 3, 2023. Of course if you are traveling outside the U.S you will need a valid passport. If you do need a passport apply as soon as possible because the processing of new ones is taking several weeks. If you choose to update your driver's license to a Real ID check your local OMV's charges and requirements but they are MUCH less expensive than applying for or renewing a passport.
