Congrats to Oxbow Rum Distillery in Visit Baton Rouge on the DOUBLE double golds!

We cannot believe we get to announce this. A double gold from San Francisco World Spirits Competition has been our team’s goal for years… And we just got TWO. We are absolutely floored and so grateful to be considered among the top rums in the world, for both classic white rum and agricole rum categories. Both of these spirits are unaged, additive-free and straight from the still. Getting that right is HARD (IYKYK). Again, what an honor for not just us, but for LOUISIANA! We are beyond proud to bring these home.

7) the casanova: brisket and huevos rancheros from Burnt Bean Co.

I found my new go-to hangout and dining spot in the . has so many amazing restaurants, but you need to add Palm&Pine to your list! They are ‘23 & ‘24 James Beard Foundation best chef south semifinalists, and it’s easy to see why! This is only a small portion of the meal:

1) Grilled pork steak pibil, refried chatino black beans, hoja santa, glazed turnips, pomegranate

2) Fresh ceviche, off menu

3) Shot Caller Flip: Appleton Estate 8 yr, STARWARD nova, Mr Black Spirits cold brew liqueur, px sherry, egg, House of Angostura

4) Palm&Pain: El Buho Mezcal, Benchmark , Peychaud’s Aperitivo, ginger beer, lime

5) Banana curry ice cream
