The weather will be quite unsettled over the next week with plenty of clouds and occasional rain and snow. Temperatures will be a roller coaster, bottoming out on Thursday. Accumulating lake-effect snow is likely Wednesday and Thursday, and it does have a chance to disrupt activities and make for hazardous road conditions in some locations.

Clouds will increase tonight and light rain showers and drizzle will develop very late tonight and continue into Monday morning. Low temps will range from the mid to upper 30's.

Watch out for some bad spots - we got a lot of snow fast - but there are still some bad areas!

Lake effect snow continues over the north wind snow belts today, with some moderate to heavy snowfall and blowing snow possible mainly this morning. While the lake effect will lighten up tonight, expect it to reinvigorate over the Keweenaw by Friday. Watch out for slick spots & anticipate longer commutes this morning!

Trail 11A between Hogsback Road (Trail 13) and West Branch Road (Trail 15)will be closed for the winter to allow for logging operations. Use Trail 15 or Trail 13 and Island Lake Road to reach the Island Lake area. This closure is expected to be for this winter only. Think snow!!
