Want to help a shelter dog have their best day ever while visiting Maui? The Maui Humane Society's Dogs on Demand program allows visitors and kama’aina alike to invite shelter dogs on a fun day of exploring Maui’s beautiful ‘aina (land).

The focus of Dog on Demand is to provide outing opportunities for the dogs who most need a break from the shelter. Participating dogs are often young, large, and/or energetic. These dogs may still be perfecting their manners or leash skills, so participants should be confident in their dog handling abilities. Participants must be 18 and older.

I remember dining at 1900 Park Fare and the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast when the kids were little like it was yesterday. Such sweet memories! When the restaurant opened with a Wish Makers Enchanted Dining retheme, I was excited to check it out! Change doesn't always go over well with diehard Disney fans. Over the holiday break, my mini me and I spent a long weekend at Walt Disney World to kickstart the holiday cheer. It was magical! I'll probably post about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party later this year when 2025 ticket sales open, but for now, let's focus on the benefits of staying on Disney property. The Disney Bubble Disney resorts are uniquely themed, and always dressed for the holidays....

All-inclusive resorts are extremely popular! With food and drink included, it is super convenient, and knowing that these are prepaid takes a mental load off. But you know what all-inclusive resorts tend to do? Tie you to your resort. And Costa Rica is a destination that is meant to be explored!

Many European Plan (= not all-inclusive) resorts offer a breakfast and dinner plan, which is a good compromise. The idea is that you'll be off exploring during the day, which you should be. Another good compromise is a split stay where you stay at a European Plan resort for most of your time, and end with a couple of relaxing nights at an all-inclusive property.
