Pay attention humans...

Italian diver Enzo Maiorca while diving into the Siracusa Sea felt something patting him on the back. He turned around and saw a dolphin. He understood that he did not want to play but was trying to express something.

The dolphin dived and Enzo followed. At a depth of twelve meters trapped in a net there was another dolphin. After managing with his wife to release it, the two dolphins emerged and emitted an almost human cry (this is how Maiorca described it).

Dolphins can’t breathe underwater, but can hold their breath for up to ten minutes before drowning. The trapped dolphin was a female who soon gave birth.

The male surrounded them and touched Enzo’s cheek (like a kiss); a gesture of gratitude. 💗

Enzo expressed that, ′′Until man learns to respect and communicate with the animal world, he will never be able to know his true role on this Earth.′′

These are octopus eggs. Did you know that female octopuses produce only one clutch of eggs in their lifetime? After a mother octopus lays her eggs, she stays with them, quits eating and wastes away; by the time the eggs hatch, she has passed on. Scientists believe this is due to her optic gland (similar to our pituitary gland) which begins to secrete more hormones, literally driving her “crazy”. 🐙🥚

If you happen to discover any octopus eggs like the ones in the photo, please do not disturb them!

🏰Boldt Castle & Boldt Yacht House, Alexandria Bay, New York 🇺🇸

Boldt Castle, situated on Heart Island in the Thousand Islands of the Saint Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay, New York, is a historic landmark with a rich history. Commissioned by millionaire George C. Boldt in 1900 as a lavish tribute to his wife Louise, the castle was designed with a combination of medieval, Renaissance, and Rhineland castle influences, featuring striking architectural elements such as towers and a drawbridge.

Unfortunately, construction came to an abrupt halt in 1904 following the sudden death of Louise, leaving the castle incomplete and neglected for many years. In the late 20th century, restoration efforts were initiated, allowing the public to explore its rooms, gardens, and picturesque surroundings.

Today, Boldt Castle stands as both a testament to a love story and a popular tourist attraction, accessible by private boat or organized tours from Alexandria Bay. The castle's captivating setting and historical significance make it a must-visit destination for enthusiasts and tourists alike.

📣 IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: KONA AIRPORT 📣

Kona’s international airport is closed “until further notice” after cracks were discovered on the runway!

Update from HDOT:

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) shut down operations at the Kona International Airport at 4:20 p.m. today to assess cracks on the runway and to keep air travelers safe.

HDOT is measuring the usable runway length and will provide the information to airline operators to determine how to reopen the runway while restricting planes from the damaged areas. HDOT is also working with contractors to mill and resurface the affected area.

The HDOT has a project that will reconstruct the entire 11,000 foot runway this year. Cracks had developed and the runway pavement degradation had accelerated due to the recent rains.

Passengers are advised to check with their travel advisors before heading to the airport. ✈️

The closure has stranded scores of passengers.

The only constant… is change, but how do we manage the impact on our society with the new technology “ie:A-I”? If you have time to watch a movie on Netflix… then take an hour and seven minutes to watch the video below, then let’s talk about it…

Personally, this makes me desire an engaged community even more! One that spends actual time together… teaching each other life skills, helping each other, working together & depending on each other to grow mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even financially. We need each other to Thrive, and to protect one another.

Our future generations will be impacted by the decisions we make now… What will their future look like? What will OUR future look like? We have the opportunity to take part in creating that reality.

As we move into the new year… I urge you to take part in collaborating with each other (and me) to help build up our communities and support each other!

I built OnaTour to do this exact thing… build up our communities, create connections, learn from each other, teach skills in a hands on way, make impactful memories wether it’s through traveling, workshops, retreats, gathering in person to share ideas & experiences or just to simply stay grounded in the reality that our world and the people in it are amazing and wonderful when we align ourselves with purpose, understanding and kindness. NORAD's Santa Tracker started on this day in 1955 with a simple typo.

"A local Sears store in Colorado Springs ran a dial Santa ad in 1955. However, the number was a misprint. Instead of listing the number for Sears' Santa hotline, it posted the number for the Continental Air Defense Command Center.

On Christmas Eve 1955, Colonel Harry Shoup began receiving calls while working at NORAD from kids asking to speak with Santa Claus.
Instead of telling the kids that they dialed the wrong number, Shoup said that he wasn't Santa Claus but he could track him on radar.

All night, Shoup and his team fielded calls, giving kids details about Santa's location as he and his reindeer flew through the sky to deliver gifts to children."

This is how a tradition was born. NORAD opened its lines for Santa Tracking every year since.
