Ok but why is everything so effing expensive?

This is your reminder that couponing for things you would buy anyway is a decent way to stretch a budget.

CVS is too expensive to just shop at without using deals and coupons - but if you play their game, it can save a lot of money!

My son needed deodorant and we are almost out of mouth wash. My youngest needed a chapstick.

I bought all of this for less than $8 out of pocket. One of the deodorants would have been nearly that much.

I also got $5 back in “extra bucks” to use on a future purchase.

We also got 5% back in Ibotta cash and some fetch coins which we can let add up to get free gift cards. Those bonuses weren’t super impressive but they do add up.

I do not clip paper coupons - everything is on my phone and takes little to no time.

- some may not know that Ruby Bridges wasn’t actually integrated into classes with other children - she was merely in the same building. She endured this every single school day and then spent her whole day with just one teacher.

Ruby Bridges is in her sixties. She was born the same year as one of my parents. She is younger than my husband’s parents.

This was not that long ago.

One - getting entirely married at 23 years old is a risky game.
