Having a blast down in Walt Disney World this week! We have averaged about 20,000+ steps a day touring resorts and the parks. I am loving all the extra Disney tips and tricks I am learning to prepare my clients for their own travels to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

I will be spending the next week touring all the resorts, trying new restaurants, exploring the parks, and learning from Disney reps how to better serve my clients.

Brenda and her husband along with 2 other lovely couples recently returned from their River Cruise through the Rhine. They spent time on land exploring Zurich and Lucerne before hopping on their ship in Basel and exploring the stunning cities along the Rhine all the way to Amsterdam.

River cruises are a fantastic way to get an up close look at beautiful cities in Europe. The ships are smaller and can get into the smaller ports along the rivers making it a truly enjoyable adventure right at the heart of quaint European towns.

For those of you that have not heard the news or did not receive my email last week, my family is growing! We are expecting our first baby in November of this year and cannot wait for this new adventure.

While this is an exciting time for us, it does mean that I’ll be taking a short maternity leave. I plan to start my leave in November, and then I’ll be slowly easing back into work after Thanksgiving through Christmas. I expect to be back full time in January.

To ensure that your travel plans are set and that I can give you the attention you deserve, I highly recommend booking your 2025 vacations in the next couple of months. This way, we can take care of all the details before I step away briefly, and you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your trips are well-planned.

To those that are traveling in November, you will be prepped ahead of time with travel documents and any questions you may have. You will also be given contact information for our team at Dream Travel and Shawn Compagner who will be assisting me for during travel emergencies in my absence.

Every new place that I travel, I make it a point to get a picture in my signature handstand pose. It has been awhile since I have shared any to my business page so here are some of my pictures from my travels over the last few years 🤸‍♀️

Side note: My husband and I also collect Christmas ornaments in each destination so we can relive the trip every time we put up the tree each year.

This sweet couple spent a week away at my all time favorite resort in Punta Cana. Check out the stunning water and white sandy beach 😍

They reached out to me about 24 hours before I was headed out on my own vacation and the decision for this resort was not hard. Less than 24 hours later, I had them booked with a great deal on an Ocean View Suite for this last minute but well deserved getaway.

If Alaska is not on your bucket list, I highly recommend adding it. It is still one of my favorite destinations I have ever been (and I have been a lot of places 😆)

I have been working on some Disney vacation planning for a few families lately and figured I would take the time to reiterate all that a travel agent can do for clients headed to Disney 👏 (at no additional cost)

🍴Secure dining reservations for you - Disney opens up the opportunity for you to reserve dining reservations starting 60 days before your trip at 6am eastern time. Instead of YOU getting up early and stressing about reserving your dining, I take care of any and all reservations you would like.

🛏 Make room requests - I assist with room requests regarding being near another family member room, close to the lobby, close to the skyliner, on main floor, etc.

😎 Offer tips and tricks - I have years of experience with the parks and the technology that goes along with it. I am your personal vacation planner to assist with any questions you have. Disney hold times can be long. I will answer you much quicker!

✨Apply deals and promotions - I receive first word of when Disney releases new deals and promotions and I work that week to adjust reservations that the promotion applies to.

Our final stop on our trip took us to Blarney Castle and the city of Cork.

Travel advisor recommendations:
If you plan to Kiss the Blarney Stone, be sure to plan several hours at the Castle and grounds. The typical wait time is about 90 min to get inside the castle and kiss the stone.
Be sure to check out the multistory wool store on the way back to the parking lot for a unique to Ireland handmade souvenir.
The English Market is a great place to roam in Cork. If you find the sausage booth, be sure to indulge in a sandwich.

Teaching moment coming in....

I received a phone call this morning from a distressed traveller who has been stuck in St Lucia for 5 days past their original travel dates due to the mess with Delta Airlines. (I know, I know, there are way worse places to be stuck) However, this poor traveller and his group are ready to come home and be back in the US. They have already spent an additional 5 nights at their accommodation plus food, drinks, additional time off work that they were not originally planning on. Delta has no future flights available for them to be placed on and they are feeling stuck.

Here comes the problem....

They didn't book their trip with me. In fact, they didn't book their trip with a travel agent at all. And while I gave them some advice to hopefully point them in the right direction of a solution, there is nothing I can legally do to assist them due to not having access rights to their booking. So while this group has been stuck on the phone for days calling Delta and trying to come home, all I could do was advise them on what to do next. The advice I gave them will hopefully get them home soon but it will not be cheap.

Lesson....

Travel agents value soars far beyond just booking your trip and saying "have fun!" When disaster strikes, we step in with resources that no one else has and give you the best odds for handling your situation. So don't forget your local travel agent when thinking about planning your next trip. It could save you time, money, and a whole lot of headache.

Dublin 🇮🇪

Travel Advisor Tips:
You must see Temple Bar. You don’t have to sit and eat but it is iconic and should remain on your list for Dublin.
The Old Room Library is stunning but if this is on your list you will want to wait a few years as it is going to be closed later this year for renovations.
Brazen Head is the oldest pub in Ireland and a great spot for lunch.
Guinness Storehouse is one of the more unique experiences I have done and recommend it to anyone even if you are not a beer drinker. Plus the bar at the top of the building has the best view in Dublin.

Check out some of the amazing vacations I have recently booked for my clients. You may be thinking.... "Jenelle, why am I looking at 3 pictures of you?..."

Well...That is because I have personally travelled at least once but likely 2-3 times to each of the destinations that I have recently booked for my clients. Which means I have hands on experience in all of these destinations (along with many more destinations)

Some of my clients are just leaving the country for the first time and may be a little apprehensive. Or they may be visiting a new place and that makes them nervous. I am here to ease that stress and guide them through the process of planning their dream vacation along with prepping them for what to expect at their vacation destination.

Let’s hear it for the Cliffs of Moher 🙌🏼
We took a day trip to visit these beautiful cliffs in southwest Ireland and on our way back stopped in Galway.

Travel agent tips:
Plan to spend a couple of hours at Cliffs of Moher as you can hike for miles along the trail and get so many great views plus the weather changes in an instant so you may just get lucky with some beautiful weather.
Be sure to head to Galway while over in that area and explore that great town.
Check out Kings Head Pub in Galway for a delicious meal and great atmosphere.

Views from the window seat ✈

Flying through the Caribbean is one of my favorites because of views like this. The different shades of blue in the water are spectacular.

Hi Friends! I just wanted to give some background to me as many may not know me personally! I decided to become a travel agent after spending a semester in Disney working as a merchandise intern. Above is a picture of me in my Mickey Ears graduation cap on my final day of the program. I fell in love with Disney while there and wanted to keep the magic going. Since I was a little girl traveling out west in my family's RV, I have always had the itch for adventure. I love to experience this big world first hand and hope to bring my clients the same joy. Planning a trip can be overwhelming and time consuming.
