Considering Sandals South Coast? Here are my first impressions as a very well traveled travel agent (including Sandals) and first time traveler to Jamaica.

The ride here: I’ve heard the horror stories. My usually non motion sick prone husband got sick on our way back ro the airport in St Lucia (after a large breakfast) years ago so I was leary of the journey.

We sat in the front of the bus since looking out front windows rather than side help with motion sickness. Yes, the driver gets extremely close to the vehicle in front of him. Yes, you are within inches of the side or the road. Yes, it is windy and hilly. Verdict- we made it alive, even had some downpours, no sickness, all together not so bad.

Dinner:
Delicious as you can always expect at Sandals. We are at Neptune’s. Rib eye steak and Caesar salad were both excellent. My husband enjoyed his seafood salad and grilled mahi mahi too. I wasn’t hungry after dinner, but powered through and enjoyed my banana Nutella crepe from Cafe de Paris.

Room service. (Which was before dinner)
A bit disappointing:
Caesar salad came with a small side of dressing. They were kind enough to make a batch of bruschetta sauce without onion for us but we only got three teeny pieces of bread so didn’t finish it.

Breakfast: Eleanor’s-best breakfast I’ve had at Sandals to date and I always enjoy breakfast here. I started with a smoothie bowl and then had crunch french toast with carmalized banana and rum sauce. Jeff had bagel and lox and a Caribbean shrimp omelet. The peacock, cat, and other birds provided entertainment.
