"We had originally intended on hiking Tab via Jennings Creek but as you know it, things got thrown our way (as you may know this requires a 4wd vehicle) and the jeep stabilizers said “not today” 😣 (thank goodness this happened on the way up and not actually on the 4wd road). So we put the 2nd plan in action, then Colorados infamous traffic from hell happened 🤬 I70 and I25 was a nightmare and we sat in it for hours 😩yet we did not let that deter us from climbing a mountain. We arrived late, but with plan 3, we set off and with a positive mindset and prepared with winter attire 😂 we hiked out, not even a little way in, had to stop and peel clothes off as we began to melt because after we were supposed to be hiking in 30 degree weather 🤷🏻‍♀️ but here we are in 85 degrees. Needless to say, we stayed positive and admired the views. Weather came in, but only danced around us and we summited right before nightfall 🙌🏻 All and all a great day 😊 (we did sit in traffic again at 11:30 at night on I25… what is going on? 😡 I just want to live in the country already) What an awesome hike though 🙌🏻"

Throwing it back to visiting Ngari (western Tibet). It is probably one of the most difficult places to get to in China due to the high elevation (avg. 14763+ feet). But it was absolutely worth the visit, not just because of the beautiful scenery, but also the incredible culture and people. A trip I'll never forget.

"FLIGHT is BOOKED! Next stop 👉🏻 JAPAN! 🇯🇵

As much as I’ve loved (and truly needed) this time with loved ones, the great unknown is calling, and it’s time to hit the road! In three weeks, I’m headed back to Asia to explore a country known for its fresh, delicious cuisine, anime, ancient architecture, hot springs, and exquisite nature scene. 🤩 👍🏻

I may be missing the famous cherry blossom blooms, but my timing will allow me to summit Mt. Fuji when it opens in July. 🏔 Wahooo! Have you ever been to Japan? Any recommendations?! 👂🏼"

"Today the trail took us from Dingboche (14,469 ft) to Lobuche (16,207 ft). It wasn’t the hardest day in terms of miles or gain, but it pushed all of us more than any other day thanks to the elevation. Tomorrow we set off for Everest Base Camp and everyone is excited if a bit nervous! Everest is known by the Nepali people as Sagarmatha, meaning 'mother of earth'. What better way to ring in Earth Day than by paying her a visit? How are you going to celebrate?" .her.way

🌍✨ Embracing the Nomadic Rollercoaster 🦅🌍

"Good evening to all the amazing humans out there! 💙
📸 Amidst dreamy travel pics and breathtaking landscapes, let's take a reality check.🌤️ Today, I'll share some thoughts on the highs and lows of my nomadic adventures!

Travel brings me immense joy and lightness. Exploring new places, serendipitous encounters, and unmatched freedom fill my heart with strength, hope, peace, and boundless happiness. 🌈

But let's not forget the other side—the travel blues. Stretching every penny, bidding farewell to old and new friends, and the nagging uncertainty. It's like a bumpy flight with (un)expected turbulence. 😅💸

And oh, the missed milestones! Births and funerals I couldn't attend due to wanderings. Tough moments away from loved ones....Yet, spontaneous invitations like celebrating the first woman in my host family earning a university degree, prove celebrations can happen anywhere, anytime! 🎉🎓

As a woman on the nomadic journey, daily decisions feel heavier, but there's no one-size-fits-all formula. Embrace uncertainty, trust your intuition. Each choice is a stepping stone to personal growth. Break barriers, defy expectations, and inspire others! 🦄 Trust your strength and keep blazing your trail. 🌱✨

Here's to the rollercoaster of nomadic life's highs and lows, laughter and tears, challenges and triumphs. It's a life I wouldn't trade for anything. 🎢✨" Paula Carlotta Bkv

"Being a group leader for .her.way was a life-changing experience. My October '18 trip to EBC was full of excitement, challenges, and new friends. This trip is not for the faint at heart, attendees will encounter many different types of challenges both physical and mental but as I group leader I was happy to encourage and assist everyone however I could. Dipak and Nirmal are absolutely incredible hosts and took such great care of our group. Working with Jodi was a breeze and it was my honor to support a women-owned business."

"What have you dreamt of since you were a child? Childhood dreams that have become reality (Part II) :

🧳 🇹🇭 Living in Asia, befriending monkeys and elephants, and eating weird, exotic foods/bugs🦂 🌶 : In 2018, I sold everything and left everyone I knew to solo travel and live in Thailand. Between Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, it was 13 months of pure bliss and self discovery, and to this day, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I am, and always will be, obsessed with Asian culture and cuisine.

🦈 🇮🇩 Shipwrecks, night dives, and SHARKS. I can thank the underwater jungles of southern California for my first 100 ft (30 m) wreck dive and my first encounters with seven-gill sharks. Since getting certified in Texas lake water in 2013, I’ve dove in 9 countries, and Okinawa, Japan is NEXT! Wahooooo! 🤪 🤙🏻 My all-time favorite shipwreck/night dives were in Indonesia and Colombia, where I saw reef sharks, a massive potato grouper, 5 manta rays, a GIANT mola mola, neon-glowing eels, and other alien creatures I couldn’t name. Ahhh, admiring otherworldly creatures of the deep makes my heart go BOOM! 💥

What's your favorite dive spot? Any diving, surfing, or beach recommendations for Okinawa ya wanna throw my way?! 👂"

"Headed to Yampa to explore, hike, camp and restore. We weren’t able to do the desired loop or hike we had intended as the snow was still insanely high. We postholed and we were not prepared for it.
