Bonnie Blue Tours Take a walk with a native and be more than a tourist. I was born and raised here and majored in History at Armstrong State University.

If you want an up-close and personal look at the city of Savannah from someone who calls it home and loves it to death, then I am the tour guide you want! Through continual research, I strive to construct a vast and varied picture of the city's history that will hold everyone's interest. Purchase tickets at www.bonniebluetours.com/book or contact me directly to schedule a private tour at your convenience.

Please do not call me up and ask for a tour this Tuesday or Wednesday. At best, we’ll have snow on the ground. At worst, we’ll have freezing rain and ice on everything. In either case, Savannahians don’t know how to function in these conditions. We are about to hibernate for 3 straight days. 😆

There are a number of events coming up this weekend and February is filling up as well. Take a look at my calendar of local events to fill out your itinerary if you're planning to visit Savannah soon.

Tens of thousands of families in the mountainous and rural areas of Western NC were devastated by Hurricane Helene back at the end of September and are now homeless and sleeping in tiny sheds without insulation and camping in tents on the icy and snowy ground in sub-freezing weather.

If you've been kicking yourself for not donating to help, then now's your chance to do so -- and get an AMAZING thank-you gift in the process:

The first-ever compilation album documenting the history of the Savannah, GA music scene from the 1960s to the present day.

Available to purchase for Streaming and Digital Downloads only, this 16-Hour long collection of more than 200 Rare and Previously Unreleased Tracks of all types is the length of 13 full CDs or 23 vinyl LPs, for a donation of as little as $30 (that's just 15 cents a song)!

Proceeds go to the most respected, locally-run charitable organizations managing Hurricane Relief and Rebuilding in two of the hardest-hit NC counties: Ashe (near Boone) and Buncombe (in and around Asheville).

Our Goal: To sell 3,000 copies and raise close to $75,000 for those in need, while celebrating and promoting the overlooked musical talent in this fabled and famously quirky and beautiful historic city on the Georgia coast.

Can we do it?

That's up to YOU.

Head over to SAVhelpsWNC.com to listen to 25 tracks from the album for free, and consider making your purchase today.

Then, SHARE this page with EVERYONE you know that might care about helping Western NC in THEIR "Katrina moment," or who loves Savannah and would appreciate the chance to own all this great, rare independent music -- most of which can't be heard anywhere else.

THANK YOU.

Well, that’s a shocker. But yeah, if you plan on going to Tybee Island while you’re in the area this season, take advantage of this free parking.

Saw a hummingbird in front of the Telfair Museum this morning, and that is the most exciting thing that’s ever happened on one of my tours. 😆

We open TWO WEEKS FROM TONIGHT! If you are hoping for a table seat, you better act quickly - there aren't a lot left for any performance. We still have general admission seats available but shows sell out every year so don't get left (metaphorically) stranded on the road in the rain with no one to call... because, you know, castles don't have phones a**hole! My friend Don does great tours of Bonaventure Cemetery. I’m sorry that’s not an option right now, but consider taking a tour with him if you’re coming into town later this Fall.

Folks, hurricane cleanup in Bonaventure is taking longer than expected. The most recent news is that the cemetery will be closed until next Friday at the earliest. No historically important monuments were damaged, but many trees are leaning into other trees, and the city can't let the public enter until that has been cleaned up.

This photo is from Hurricane Mathew, for effect.
