Happy Canada Day! Rush To Gold Bridge registration opened this morning so we’re celebrating with all the red cars from last years event. Hopefully this will give you an idea of what to expect for our travels into the beautiful Canadian backcountry roads here in British Columbia. Set your calendars and your odometers! Registration for the 2024 Rush 2 Goldbridge opens Monday July 1st!

This year will be a special 4 day event beginning Thursday August 22nd in 100 Mile House and ending Sunday August 25th in Cache Creek.

We have some incredible roads and surprises planned for everyone this year! With the destinations requiring the extra day to arrive at.

This year’s Silver Summit has come and gone, reminding us all why we love these events so much - and the cars and roads are only part of the equation.

We wind through mountains and forest, past lakes and mesas, taking it in with our passengers and navigating the turns with other classic car drivers around us. Porsche, Datsun, Cadillac - the make doesn’t matter. The camaraderie of navigating a bunch of old, colourful machines, humming and rumbling along a road like Skyline Drive, everyone with big smiles on their faces, is what makes these adventures so fantastic.

Sometimes we find ourselves on the side of the road with car trouble, but it’s never long before other participants pull over to lend a hand or at least give some moral support. Often enough, brief roadside parties ensue until the more mechanically inclined of the group sorts out the issue or the sweep team shows up.

Each evening we arrive at a hotel with stories to share of the day on the road. The parking lot gatherings, which often go well into the night, are always a highlight. Surrounded by the classics, people catch up with old friends and make new ones. There’s always a few folks working on cars too, often along with someone they know or even someone they just met.

The people are what really make these events so special.

This is what it's all about!

Another Silver Summit has come to a close! Drivers and navigators from as far as British Columbia, Alberta, Alabama, and Nevada joined us on the back roads of Colorado and New Mexico.

After a night of good food and parking lot conversations and camaraderie, with mechanics working their creative genius on a number of cars into the fading evening light, participants woke up to a beautiful sunrise to start day 3 from Taos. The roads back into Colorado had no shortage of curves and incredible scenery with another dam crossing, plenty of lakes, mountain views and beautiful little towns.

As many of us now start a long drive home, we leave with amazing new memories of the time on and off the road with friends new and old and the anticipation for the next Silver Summit!

Day 2 of the Silver Summit took us into New Mexico passing through ski areas, mesas, rolling grasslands, desert, red rock and along winding rivers. Particpants saw mule deer and bighorn sheep and traversed the Navajo Dam before crossing the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge into Taos!

A whole Spring Thaw went by without rain! The final day of the weekend finished over lunch at the Princeton Golf Club. We saw some incredible views and experienced great roads, but most importantly, we kicked off the 2024 driving season alongside the best community of adventure seeking classic car enthusiasts. Next up, the Silver Summit. We look forward to hitting the Colorado roads with you in two weeks’ time!

Day two took Spring Thaw participants 466 km from Salmon Arm, across the Arrow Lakes on two different ferries and through the Monashee Mountains to finish up at the top of Silver Star Mountain. Mountain vistas, lakeside views, no end of twisty roads and a stop for lunch in the small town of Nakusp made this a true classic kind of day for the group.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather on day 1 of the 2024 Spring Thaw. From grasslands and desert to the shores of Shuswap Lake, the roads of the Thompson Okanagan were filled with colourful classics and drivers enjoying the first big drive of the season.
