During Your Stay: Stay informed by following updates from local authorities and your resort. Trust the resort staffâthey prioritize guest safety and have protocols in place. Always follow their guidance and safety instructions.

#1 Planning Your Trip During Unpredictable Seasons
Traveling during hurricane season or to areas prone to natural events requires extra planning:
Time of Year: Research the best times to visit your desired destination. For example, hurricane season in the Caribbean typically runs from June to November, while wildfires are more common in summer. This does not mean that you should never schedule trips during these times, but be mindful so you can be prepared.
Destination Selection: Consider destinations with lower risks during certain times. For example, the southern Caribbean is less affected by hurricanes.
Travel Insurance: Invest in comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, interruptions, and natural disasters. This ensures peace of mind, medical coverage, and financial protection.
Expert Tip: Purchase travel insurance as soon as you book your vacation. Most insurance policies will not cover anything hurricane related if insurance is purchased after a storm is named.
