I started working on this quilt over a year ago. The name is Harriet’s Journey from the Elm Creek Quilt series. It has 100 blocks. Some are regular pieced. Some are paper pieced. A few are appliqué. And quite a few were template piecing. I learned a lot about template piecing. At first, my blocks left much to be desired. I improved as I went. The era of the story was the 30’s. I used reproduction 30’s style fabric. It was a challenge to say the least. When I finished, I was glad to be done but I was also disappointed because of all the imperfections. Now that it is quilted and finished, I love it.

Christmas Club meets January 15 from 9-4. We will be making the cutest snowman/ snowflake table topper. You’ll need three 13 1/2 squares of a dark color and three 13 1/2 squares of a contrasting color.
