You might be used to the beige and brown ones, but potatoes actually come in an incredible array of colors in Peru, including purple, yellow, blue, and red. Fascinating, right? 😍

This photo was taken in the beautiful small town Chinchero, which is mainly known for their weaving techniques and has a colorful market that is a must visit. 📌

There’s many local women who can demonstrate their weaving techniques and how they produce different colors for the wool they spin and weave. A very unique experience that we truly recommend!

If you’ve been to Peru, you’ve probably encountered a few alpacas 🦙 the ancient Inca civilization treasured these animals and it was only the royals who had access to the fine fleeces and wool.

Today they’re more accessible and you’ll be sure to find many alpaca products around the country. They’re both beautiful and keep you warm in the colder climates 🍃
