happy fathers day to my pops Abid Buttar. He is hands down the most impressive man I know. Just a few of his life accomplishments:
- Supreme court in Pakistan
- immigrated to the US... at age 40 with his wife and 4 kids and no job
- built a life that allowed 4 kids to thrive into uber successful adults with amazing partners and 9 grand kids
- adapted to life as a stroke survivor at age 78
- survived the loss of his wife of 52 years (my mom) at age 81
- adapting to the the loss of his son at age 57 (my brother) at age 87
- continuing his life work at the true teachings of Islam (link in the comments)

and still prays 5 times daily (as is the Muslim tradition).

For those of you reading this who know my siblings or me personally... NOW you understand why we are the people we are. The bar was set very high.

Proud to be your son Abu and I am BEYOND impressed by you and how you life each day of your life. I would consider it an honor if I become a fraction of the man you are.

All great men can trace back lessons learned from their fathers.
There are no exceptions.
Some lessons are positive and some negative but I have learned that a fathers voice is indeed loud in our minds.
And it doesn't go away. EVER.

To all the All Pro Dads out there: carry on, keep on being great examples and continue to improve.

For fathers who didn’t have the same kind of role model I had: BREAK THE MOLD! You are under no contract to repeat the cycle.
