Second stop on the Failte Irish Shop Escapades & Shenanigans Tour for some Uisce Beatha (water of life) to tour the new facility just outside the town where my parents grew up. My grandfather Michael McEnroe worked for D.E.Williams!

There is still opportunity to book a December Christmas markets trip! There is no more magical experience than visiting Germany, Austria, and France in December.
In Germany and Austria, holiday markets abound in every square, from intimate to vast.
River cruising, in particular, offers excursions to some of the oldest, quaintest, most charming markets in Europe. However, you can still experience the markets of fairytale towns using land and rail.
The towns with medieval flavor and architecture are alluring.

Vienna is the queen of Christmas markets as there are a multitude spread throughout the Old Town (Altstadt) and the city itself.
Strasbourg and Colmar share the spotlight in the Alsace region.
Bamberg oozes Old-World Germany.
Nuremberg's main market is, probably, the most acclaimed one in Germany.

Don't discount London, either! Winter Wonderland takes over Hyde Park for the month and the shopping streets of Regent Street and Oxford are bedecked in elaborate lighting.
