The Phoenix area American Airlines Survivors Network EBRG & Veteran Military Employee Business Resource Group have teamed up with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots campaign this year.

We’re currently looking for individuals in the PHX Metro Area that would like to volunteer and work side by side with the Marines during this years’ toy drive.

You'll be working side by side with the United States Marine Corps Reserve and their Toys For Tots holiday toy drive in several areas, including:

- Assisting in the transportation and storage of toys;
- Assisting in our local warehouse;
- Assisting with meals... and much more.

This morning, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, American Airlines transported the 250,000th Veteran to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) as part of our partnership with The Honor Flight Network and Honor Flight Arizona. A group of 100+ veterans were accompanied by two recipients of The Medal of Honor aboard American’s newest aircraft livery,

The group will spend the next couple days visiting memorials across the Washington, DC region. An event to commemorate the 250,000th Honor Flight Network veteran will take place on Tuesday.

The American Airlines Survivors Network Employee Business Resource Group is proud to have been able to be a part of this amazing event. We’d like to give a shoutout thank you to all of the Members that volunteered to help setup and run the event; and a special shoutout to the Flight Crew that also volunteered to work the flight.

And finally, our heartfelt thanks and admiration to the Veterans, not just on the flight, but to all everywhere.

Help the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in their fight against pancreatic cancer & get some really unique items while doing so!

We have two silent auctions running until 5:00 p.m. (PDT) on April 6th, 2022.:

Our first one is for a hand blown glass vase crafted by American Airlines Employee & Oklahoma Artist Paul Wosika, valued at $400.

The second one is for a full size aircraft beverage cart that we've retired, had it taken apart and renovated to a like new condition. We then installed a few handcrafted shelves & drawers, a wine glass rack, and capped with a removable charcuterie board - all of which are made from butcher block wood! We're also adding a complete set of American Airlines wine and drink glasses. All of the work on this cart was donated by members of our Aircraft Maintenance Team in Tulsa.

We're happy to announce that we are doing some more silent auctions benefiting our philanthropic partner, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. We have three auctions coming up - one for December, one for February, and one for April.

Each of the auction items have been crafted and donated by American Airline Employees who are also the artists!

We had over 50 Members, their Families & Friends participate - some flew in from as far as Chicago!

This November, for World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, The American Airlines Survivors Network EBRG has proudly teamed up with the American Airlines Brand Store to introduce a line of AA merchandise that is now available year round in pancreatic cancer awareness purple on the Brand Store website!.

$5.00 from the sale of each of these items will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

The American Airlines PRIDE and Survivors Network (formerly Virtual) EBRGs have teamed up and are sponsoring a parade float for the 2021 Phoenix Pride Parade!

Come enjoy the fabulous weather at a fabulous event with your fabulous Team Members and walk along side our float as it makes it way up 3rd Street from Thomas Road all the way up to the Pride Festival at Indian School Road.

Participation is open to all American Airlines Team Members, their families and friends.

The 2021 PHX PRIDE Parade takes place on Saturday, November 6th, 2021. Parade route will start at 3rd Street & Oak and will proceed north on 3rd Street up to Indian School Rd.
